Beautiful stone cottage in a mountain setting 20 minutes from Sitia. Stunning scenery! Villagers extremely welcoming and hospitable bringing wonderful Cretan baking. Host gave us a private tour of the nearby archeological site and then delivered dinner to us! We were fortunate enough to be given a walking tour of the mountain by a fellow Canadian in the village. An unforgettable experience in a warm community. A car is needed and follow Nikolaos’ directions carefully.

Thanos's house is really great, quaint, and the terrace is amazing! It's all lovingly designed and I felt very comfortable. I was there in March, it was still cold sometimes, but with the two electric heaters you can get the house warm quickly if needed. On the terrace you have complete peace, as the whole village is very quiet, because through the narrow streets, often with steps, hardly a vehicle can drive. Thanos was very friendly. eager and open to all questions. The contact was via the AirBnb chat. But he lives in the village and comes by when necessary. Thank you, dear Thanos, for having me!

I felt very comfortable at the place Manos is a great host who responds quickly to questions, gives great tips for excursions and receives you very kindly with raki and cookies. the accommodation is as described and very comfortable. The balcony is mega cozy, the bed upstairs just for snuggling in. In the kitchen there is everything you need without being overloaded. The washing machine served me well after the many hikes. To reach the area easily, I recommend a rental car. And as the many before me wrote: Manos is a very warm host. I would definitely recommend the place. Thanks for the wonderful time in Koutsouras! 🙂
