So many superlatives. Bek’s place is warm and inviting. A large scrubbed timber board awaited us. Laden with a lovely sourdough loaf, butter, homemade berry jams, a bowl of large fresh eggs and many varied condiments. Enough to last us for 4 days ! The views and particularly the sunrises from the living and bathrooms are stunning. We even had 4 pheasants visit us twice. Wrens hopped and fossicked throughout the garden through out the days. It truly is a delight to be immersed in this environment. Bek’s sense of style was evident throughout. THE most comfortable bed, French linens, intriguing art works, watercolours and painting materials are available, small jugs filled with local dried flowers, unusual objects , all with a history , scattered through out. A feast for the eyes and one’s spirits. So pleased we had this time there.

We stayed at Thalia Haven as part of our honeymoon. Honestly, it was one of the best experiences we’ve had travelling domestically in Australia. Highlights included watching the sunrise in the epic outdoor bath tub and cooking in a very well equipped kitchen with the French doors opening overlooking the bay. This place truly gives you a sense of hygge. Truly remarkable!

Absolutely five-star! The location was incredible—peaceful, yet close to so many great places. If you’re looking for that perfect mix of tranquility and convenience, this is it. An amazing trip and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Feeling very grateful!

Staying in the Driftwood Cottage was lovely…..quiet, tucked away in the sand dunes and within an easy drive to Swansea. On arrival we let ourselves in and discovered a beautiful little beach house. Clean, neat and providing everything we needed. Driftwood is within an easy drive of Freycinet National Park …. Where we explored The Friendly Beaches, Honeymoon Bay and the Cape Turnville lighthouse walk. Not to mention a stroll along Nine Mile Beach (3 minute walk) We picked up local fresh seafood for dinner and watched the sunset from the front deck. We would thoroughly recommend staying at Fred’s!
