Everything was great!

We enjoyed it very much, the hosts are very nice and straightforward. The amenities were great, especially in the kitchen. We had plenty of room to cook and eat together... not so easy for 11. It would be nice if there might be a table tennis table or a trampoline in the garden. You can make beautiful hikes in the area. Unfortunately, we only had one weekend. We can definitely recommend this house.

Everything looked like the pictures. The place met what we had hoped for, ie quiet out of town. Manfred always responded and communication was factual. Next time, feel free to come back.

We had a lovely stay at the witch's house. The house is well equipped, you will find everything you need. For us, the low ceiling height was also no problem, as we are both not tall😊

We had a very nice, albeit rainy time, in Alexandra's sweet house. Everything you need is there, the dog also felt very comfortable and the garden is very nice. We'll be happy to come back. Communication with Alexandra was straightforward and easy.

We had 10 wonderful days at the property. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen is very well equipped (finally salad bowls of different sizes :-)). The beds are super comfortable. We did some great hikes from the property. Marburg and Wetzlar are worth a trip and a trip to Lake Edersee - despite a journey of one hour - is also worth it. There is a country road nearby, but that was not disturbing. Nothing was heard at night except for the forest dwellers. Further training has taken place in the adjacent riding area. That didn't bother you and it's probably an exception. Conclusion: We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back!

We spent New Year's Eve in the Stranzenburg in a small group. Really a beautiful unique house with charm! Ursula was a great host who even greeted us with a cake. If you have any questions, we were always able to reach out and received a quick response. We were all very comfortable.

Dear Irina, Your apartment is really super nice and was sparkling clean! Everything you need, very tastefully decorated and with a great view of the lake. Evening sun on the balcony, what more could you ask for. Communication with you also deserves a one! THANK YOU!

Markus and Carina are really lovely, tolerant people, it just shines from them. We were made to feel part of the family instantly. When we contacted them they were very responsive and assisted us with everything we needed. The apartment is spacious with plenty of cupboards and drawers, the kitchen is fully equipped as stated and was clean on entry, Nespresso machine was also really nice as we love our morning coffee. The surrounding area has beautiful walks and is very much like the Scottish Highlands, literally right outside the back door there is a lovely forest and hill walks, locals are friendly as you would expect living in such an idyllic hideaway. We very much enjoyed the fresh eggs and milk from the farms around the area. We really had a lovely time here and look forward to being able to return sometime soon.

We had a short hiking holiday in Winterberg. For this, the apartment was ideally located. The apartment corresponded to the tender and we felt comfortable there. We loved the use of the sauna and pool after the hike. We can recommend the apartment in good conscience.

We were with a large group including baby with Heleen and her husband and we loved the accommodation: spacious, sufficient toilets and bathrooms for the group size, lots of parking, opportunities to stay indoors and outdoors - we liked it very much!

We spent wonderful days in the best weather at Dominik's house and felt right at home from the first moment!! The house was clean, beautiful, as shown in the pictures and well equipped – we didn't miss anything. The absolute highlight was of course the pool in the garden, the huge terrace, the sauna next to the living room and the massage tables! In addition, the beds were super comfortable. The quiet location right on the outskirts was perfect for us and our dog. Dominik was a very friendly host and always quickly available. We will definitely be back – thanks for a great time!

Overall a really perfect stay. The house was exactly as presented and hoped. Plenty of space, plenty of sleeping options, sauna, bathtub, great kitchen and and and... Sabrina also left the pool "open" so that we could take ice baths before and after each sauna session. Simply phenomenal and highly recommended. Note on the four star categories. Here I was extremely petty. The location is on a busy road and not in the countryside - it didn't bother us, but maybe you should know. The apartment was also super clean and tidy but of course you notice that people usually live in it. And that didn't bother us, but it's not a five-star hotel. As mentioned - I was now very petty, so I don't give out five stars everywhere! 😅 But overall highly recommended for six people!

Great place if you want some peace and quiet. The balcony and walks in the countryside with our dog were highlights. Recommended!

The place is very cozy and fine, easy to feel good, rest and relax. The host is very relaxed and accommodating in dealing with guests and also directly informed about some local conditions (bakery, restaurant, etc.) Despite a very short-term booking, everything worked out wonderfully and easily.

The hosts were absolutely wonderful people. Super welcoming and friendly. It was a lovely stay whilst we visited family. Gorgeous views and very relaxing. They were even so kind as to invite us to their Easter celebration bonfire making us feel very welcome and included. Thanks so much! We can’t wait to stay again!

I stayed with Iman because of an exam at the Fern University in Hagen. The stay at Iman's was great and I felt at home from the minute I arrived. Iman and her dog are very nice and she always answered me directly or wrote me all the necessary information on her own. I'd love to come back, clear recommendation, especially for students.

We felt very comfortable in the tiny house. The host was helpful if we had any questions and suggested good hiking routes. The tiny house is in a very quiet area and on the edge of nature. Due to the cuddly soft bedding, you had a very good night's sleep to start a long hikes the next day! If we were to return to the Rothaar Mountains, we would definitely choose the tiny house again 🙂

Cute little cottage in the middle of nature. The highlight was the wood-burning stove and the well-equipped kitchen, so you could spend cozy evenings there. Great opportunity to spend a few days in nature near the city!
