Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Lanesboro

We really enjoyed our stay at Rich and Meg’s place. There was plenty of room for everyone to sprawl out and had plenty of toys to keep the kids occupied. We would definitely stay again. -Scott

We were very content & comfortable - tranquility base. Cozy cottage with lovely decor & very comfortable furniture with all the amenities & spotlessly clean. Bike trail yards away with access to adjacent towns & activities. We would definitely return. Very happy renters.

We had a fabulous stay! From booking until we checked out! Holly was very accommodating and sent a list of activities we could do with our kids while my husband was in town for a business trip! The house is secluded and very peaceful! However, close to anywhere we wanted to go! Plenty of room in the driveway for our kids to ride scooters and play! We had a fabulous trip and wonderful stay!

We loved our stay in Whalan! This house was perfectly located right on the Root River AND right on the Root River State Trail. My husband caught a fish in the river just steps from our Airbnb. The town is so cute and quaint. We ate lunch and pie at Aroma’s pie shop…walking distance from house. We biked the Root River Trail both directions. The house/town is centrally located…we could zip to Lanesboro in minutes and also to many other area towns. We were very comfortable in the house, beds and showers were great! We would definitely stay here again!

Anita's place outside Lanesboro was exactly what we wanted for our weekend getaway with another couple. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings, comfortable house that had everything we needed. Easy trip into Lanesboro from there so we could get on the river and bike trail and enjoy restaurants and the theatre. Thank you Anita!

While the house is showing its age and needing some updates, everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided thus it received my 5 star rating. It is not a 5 star property but I don’t downgrade properties if I have a comfortable stay. Thank you

What a lovely home! It was beautifully decorated and had many modern upgrades and conveniences. Our family of 4 including two kids and our dog in addition, had a very comfortable stay! Great location close to all the attractions in La Crosse.

We were looking for a two bedroom with kitchen and living space to celebrate the holidays. The Red Pines Air BNB was perfect. It was cute, cozy and comfy. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. The snow on December 23rd was perfectly timed. We live in Texas and don’t experience a winter wonderland very often. Watching the ice fishermen come and go was so entertaining! We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the cafe and two meals at the Red Pines Bar and Grill with family and friends from the area. All meals were excellent! We hope to make our Christmas at the Red Pines a tradition. Thank you Corinna and Mike!

Such a beautiful location in a beautiful neighborhood! We loved the back patio area and all the cardinals that were around! Close to everything we needed. Will stay again if in the area!

Wonderful place to stay! Perfectly clean and friendly environment, and easy to follow the instructions. Just a couple minutes to get to Mayo Clinic and downtown with many options for entertainment and dining. Will be staying here again!

Really enjoyed our stay we were there for 6 nights, will stay again! Big space with 2 bedrooms with a great beds and full kitchen and living room, also loved the entry way to keep shoes and jackets by the door.

There wasn’t even one missed detail when this place was made into an air bnb. They go so far above and beyond to make the stay absolutely perfect. I had the best solo weekend and can’t wait to go back! Thank you Dawn and Christine!

My husband and I stayed here with a friend for our high school reunion weekend. The house is at the end of a street without backyard neighbors and the neighborhood was very peaceful and safe. The instructions to get in were clear, with signs directing to the stairs. There were numerous light switches throughout the rental space, and everything was well-labeled. We appreciated the open, roomy living room and kitchen to relax between activities. There is a lot of seating including a beautiful outdoor patio, which we didn’t use because it was too hot this weekend. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean, with many towels and special touches. The kitchen was stocked, although we only had breakfast and snacks there. This house is within a 10 minute drive from the downtown, from grocery stores, and even closer for restaurants. No complaints. I would definitely stay here again if we needed two bedrooms.

Norma Jean & Daryl are welcoming, kind hosts with an absolutely beautiful property! They were attentive to our safety as there was winter weather and helpful at every turn. My friend & I were celebrating a milestone birthday and had a perfect stay at their place.

We loved our peaceful stay at Kari’s Airbnb. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the raptors, soaking in the hot tub, and making snores over the fire pit. Can’t wait to come back!

The place was perfect. Had everything we needed, in a great location, very clean and comfy. Will be staying there again. The locked shed for the bikes was very convenient

I stay here every time I come to Harpers Ferry.

We loved our stay here. It was exactly what we needed for the weekend. Lots of ways to spend time outside (deck chairs, hammock, fire pit with firewood, close to the Mississippi and wilderness areas). The interior was the perfect respite from the heat with high functioning AC. The house had a lovely scent and was beautifully decorated. Everything felt very thoughtfully designed and high quality. The beds were so, so comfortable. The kitchen was really well stocked. No notes! Plus, David was proactive with directions and very responsive. Some thoughts for future renters: downtown De Soto is cute, but a little sparse. Nearby Veroqua had a little more shopping, including a really great coop grocery store. We didn’t have any kids with us, but the house was well suited for kiddos (bathtub in the upstairs bathroom, safety gate on the stairs, kids cups and dishes in the kitchen, and lots of room to play).

We had such a great time at Leslie’s cabin! The location was beautiful, and the cabin itself was cozy, well-equipped, and very comfortable. We spent a lot of time outdoors and had so much fun exploring the nearby town. One of the highlights was seeing the beautiful trouts and other wildlife on and around the campground. It was the perfect little getaway—would definitely recommend!

So beautiful. Private and quiet and comfortable. At night we would sit in the hot tub and watch the fireflies. Spent time in a neighboring town (Viroqua) and enjoyed the farmer's market. Derek and Sheena were hands-off yet easily reachable. Bed was soft and comfortable. The screened-in porch, fire pit, grill, and hot tub kept us outside the entire weekend, and at night all the windows were opened and we could hear the crickets and get an amazing breeze. 10/10, will definitely be back Note: There is a train that comes through regularly. It was far enough to not be disruptive, but light sleepers may have issues at night.

This place is exactly where you want to be, if you want a relaxing and peaceful getaway. It is beautiful inside and out! I think we all agreed we will definitely be returning!

My friend and I went for a few days as a birthday get away and thoroughly enjoyed our time. From waking up each morning to the beautiful surroundings and absolute quiet, to going on hikes and exploring decorah. The schoolhouse was such a calm and special place. I can’t wait to go back!
