Cabin vacation rentals in Lake Wakatipu

My wife and I loved staying in “The Carriage” for a two-night trip to Queenstown. The place is a short drive away from town but far away enough from the hustle and bustle. It was a super cosy space to come back to at the end of the day. Sitting in front of the wood burner or taking a bath while star gazing was absolutely magical. Thank you for having us!

This is an incredible Airbnb. If you are looking for somewhere to base yourself so you can sample some of the most breathtaking landscapes, nature and biodiversity in the world, this is it. The views from the deck alone are mind-blowing - rugged, snow capped mountains all around; at night there is so little light pollution that you can see the Milky Way!! Dan's home is stylish, tasteful, very comfortable, warm, super clean and exactly as the photos show. It has all modern conveniences - fast internet and wifi , full kitchen with a big island and large fridge, indoor and outdoor wood fireplaces, outdoor spa, a huge shower with a rainfall shower head, and floor to ceiling windows throughout. The bedrooms have blockout blinds for complete darkness when you want it. I spent two weeks here and had an amazing time exploring the Otago region, hiking, sight seeing, reading and relaxing and Dan's Airbnb was a huge part of this. Dan is very friendly and extremely easy to communicate with.

Love all the details of Nate’s place! From the entrance to the balcony and living room, it felt so relaxing and refreshing for our two-night stay. We also enjoyed chatting with Nate and spending time with his adorable puppies. Awesome stay!

We had an amazing stay! This place was perfect for our short stay but definitely would be great for a longer stay. The kitchen was so well equipped (even had a slow cooker), lots of fun games to play, amazing hot tub and beautiful surroundings. Sally was a great host, she gave us lots of tips for the area and was very helpful. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Myself and my partner stayed here for 4 nights. Ideal place to stay for a couple of nights exploring Queenstown. Walkable into town on flat route. Hot tub was also a nice touch for the evenings.

We had the best time here! So walkable to town and Mt. Iron hike is just in the backyard! Beautiful view of the lake and mountains (and especially the sunrise). Very cozy cabin feel.

Wins place is clean and quiet with a stunning view of the lake. Perfect place to stay if you drive. The location is also close to a bus stop that takes 10-15 min to the centre of the city.

Christine's cute cottage was perfect for our two-night stay. Easy access to the village centre and a prime location to all the walking and biking valleys. The place had everything we needed. Highly recommended. Thank you!

An absolutely stunning hut. Exceeded our expectations. Inviting, modern and warm. Peaceful and somewhere to enjoy family time and unwind. Well kept, clean and everything we needed to cook and wash. Short trip to Arrowtown and Ayrburn. Cecilia was an efficient and friendly host.

A beautiful house in a beautiful place with lovely attention to detail and hospitality. So close to some great spots in town too. Would definitely come back!

We had a fantastic two night stay. The accomodation is fabulous with lots of personal touches and the garden and surrounding area absolutely stunning. We envy other guests that managed to stay for much longer. We would love to stay again. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Incredible stay! The kitchen amenities were complete for us to cook a proper dinner finally. It was warm and cozy inside.

We had a great stay in this place. The beds are comfy. Clean kitchen and bathroom.Huge fridge and we love the weber gas bbq they provide; perfect for our first night of staying. We enjoyed the view at night while looking at the stars above. Its so peaceful and pristine. The owners are friendly and the host is very helpful and easy to communicate. We rate it 9.5/10😊

Dunc went out of his way to prepare for our stay a day earlier than planned when weather changed our plans. We were met after dark with a friendly face and a welcome comfy bed. Don’t miss the patisserie in the village, it’s great.

Very pleased we stayed here, would definitely book again. Beautiful design & lots of thought has obviously also gone into the furnishings.
