Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Lake Vermilion

Wonderful stay. Very peaceful and quiet. Far enough from the world to disconnect yet close enough to everything. Loved watching the deer. Can't wait to come back.

We had a wonderful long weekend at this cabin. Truly couldn't be closer to the lake without getting wet! Very well located for Split Rock Lighthouse, Tettagouchee State Park, and Gooseberry Falls. Very comfortable and peaceful.

We stayed over the holidays and this was an amazing place to stay with the family! Loved it!

Place was fantastic. We stayed 3 nights (March, 2025) with four young kids, two adults. Everything is very well communicated/clear (access, entry, garage, rules, etc) everything is known up front (kitchen items, fireplace, etc) Place is big and quiet too. Very clean, updated, cozy, and well lit (also with blackout curtains in all bedrooms) Kitchen is nice with everything you need to cook, including a grill (already had tea, keurig coffee and cups, oil, seasonings, including paper towels, zip locks, detergent, soap, etc) There is everything you need for the beach (chairs, toys, towels). Tons of games, puzzles, and books. But the best of all..... private beach, sauna, tons of firewood, garage, AND a washer/dryer. Fantastic North Shore Location (near Split Rock Lighthouse, Gooseberry Falls, Two Harbors, Tettegouche, etc). It's quiet, it's big, it's got everything you need, it's a great set up and we would proudly recommend this place to any of our family and friends!

Margo was a fabulous host and the cabin is absolutely gorgeous! Rustic soundings with a well equipped cabin full of small touches that show what a thoughtful host we had. We went snowshoeing, bird watched, enjoyed the dvd and book collection, cooked great meals in the excellent kitchen, read by the fire, and relaxed in the jet tub. Margo also made our dog Roderick feel equally welcome with a dog bed and bowls and easy covers for the furniture so he could sit with us. We cannot recommend Margo and her cabin highly enough!

We had the best time at Brian and Jessica’s cabin! I booked it very last minute, after my previous plans had fallen through. We had one small issue with the water, and Brian was on top of it immediately! By the time we got home from breakfast at Betty’s Pies, it was resolved. The space is perfect, the privacy is just what we wanted, and that fireplace. Wow. I sat in the very comfortable recliner, staring at the fire, and reading, for hours. The place is very dog friendly. It is right off of the gravel road, where people drive fast, so if your dog is a runner just be sure to keep an eye on them.

We had a great week-long winter outing. The unit is right across from the ski resort, but quiet and peaceful with views overlooking the frozen lake. We were able to take long (snowshoe) walks with our dog on the Mesabi trail, plus the apartment was well equipped with everything we needed to make meals.

Most immaculate place I’ve ever stayed. Spotless. There were 5+ deer directly out the windows during our entire stay. What a bonus! Coffee pot. Not a Keurig. Bring your own grounds. Kitchen is super stocked for cooking and eating. Some spices in cupboards. This place is SO private. No one around as far as the eye can see. Shagawa Lake is slightly visible from the upstairs, mostly if you’re sitting up in bed. Mattress is super, ultra soft. Not my style, but maybe someone else’s. Comfortably accommodates 2 people. 4 would be pushing it. No lock on bathroom door. We watched the sunrises and the sunsets. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to return soon.
