Family-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Silvaplana

Our stay at the Airbnb in Mathon was simply fantastic! The property is idyllically located in the mountains and offers breathtaking views – perfect for relaxing and unwinding. A special highlight was the hike to Libi, a beautiful mountain lake about 30 minutes away. The nature, the tranquility and the fresh mountain air were simply magnificent. However, the lake is still a little too cold in May. In the evening we enjoyed a cozy fondue together – a real experience! The perfect end to the day was then in the self-heated hotpot under the stars – an absolute feel-good moment that we will not soon forget. Thank you so much for this wonderful time – I'm sure we'll be back!

Everything looks exactly the same and even better than in the pictures. The view from the balcony is spectacular and the place was very cozy for the four of us. We can only recommend the place

I recommend this apartment loft! It has beautiful views of Lake Como from the small village of Perledo which is in the mountains above Varenna. The apartment was very clean and spacious for 2 people with lots of amenities. We used the spa and heated pool which was nice. Signing up for a time slot wasn’t a problem as there was lots of availability. I recommend renting a car to drive around unless you wait for the bus and ferry schedules. There isn’t anything within walking distance so have a means of transportation to get to Varenna (10 minutes down the mountain). We had the best time and Andrea was very helpful and informative. If we had any questions we got a quick response. 10/10 recommend!!

beautiful location. i prefer varnessa to belagio. flat is just the right size for a couple. if there's anything I want to mention is that it's in a much higher location than I expected. one would definitely need a car for more frequent visit to the town below. the host is so friendly and always available and responsive.

The house is quiet and yet in the village – secluded, but not lonely. The entrance is via a small path, about 250 meters downhill, at the end a fantastic view of Lake Iseo awaits you. The view is spectacular and every morning shows up in new light. The rooms offer a lot of privacy; two have en-suite bathrooms, two share one. Ideal for relaxing days with friends or family. Directions note: Parking is upstairs. The narrow access to the house is not suitable for larger cars. Host Eric is happy to help with luggage transportation with a small car. The daily path to the parking lot – a nice little fitness moment. A wonderful place to unplug – with very warm hosts.

Recommend this place highly. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Beautiful scenery along with a hot tub and sauna for our pleasure. House was immaculate and beautifully furnished and decorated. Also, walking distance to a restaurant that we visited twice for delicious food and scenery.

The home is amazing, we have stayed in many Airbnb and also have several and this is one of the very best we’ve ever stayed in. The location is amazing, the views are to die for and the host was easy to work with and very responsive. Having a car is definitely a bonus. Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

we spent a week at Alice's place. the direct access to the lake is really cool, we enjoyed the water almost every day. quite place, super clean, and Alice is very available when we have a question. we will come back !

Ivana is an amazing host; we arrived v late and she had baked us a cake and left milk and a couple of beers. She’s also left some bread; this was a relief as we arrived late Sunday and everywhere was closed. The cottage was v comfy, and the pillows/bed etc were perfect. The place was pristine, and it had a kettle/toaster. Marvellous place!

Warm welcome and the cottage is really equipped with every comfort. Wonderful to be able to sit outside our cottage. Great accommodation for a few days on the mountain. Ideal that there is a shop within walking distance where you can do 24/7 shopping with a pass. Authentic village. Wonderfully quiet.

Despite the trouble of online check in, the owner responded smoothly.

We had such a great time visiting here. It was a bit of a walk to the house but very doable. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Riccardo was extremely responsive during our visit too. Menaggio was the perfect area to stay at Lake Como. All of the charm and half of the crowds. We Hope to come back again someday.

One of the best Air B&B locations we’ve stayed at. The view was incredible and the town was great for outdoor adventures. Hiking and skiing from the front door. We liked it so much we stayed an extra day. We’ll be back!

We visited in May, and it was amazingly beautiful. I was worries about the road up the mountain due to having summer tyres, but it did not snow or freeze or rain, and Sylvia also let me know that it would be fine, which I appreciated. We met Sylvie for checkin, and she guided us to the cabin further up the mountain where you are met with peace and quiet, an amazing view and a clean and beautiful and cozy cabin. From the main road it is about 20 minutes to the cabin (good weather conditions) and we did shopping before which helps as mutten has no shops. The one day, we got on the train at Tiefencastle to ride the Bernina line to Tirano and it worked perfectly - really close by and you can park and ride at the station. Thanks Sylvie! I would love to come again.

The four days of six in the house were simply fantastic. We felt very comfortable every minute. The house and the garden with the pool are very lovingly and modernly furnished with regional accessories. There was nothing missing and the view of the lake is simply stunning. Monia always responded super quickly through the app and helped with all questions. Very nice and accommodating landlady who cares for the house with passion and prepares the guests. On Monia's recommendation, we spontaneously took part in the now annual Wine&Food tour of the small village of Montemezzo. Simply authentic, delicious and with many beautiful encounters. We are thrilled and highly recommend the house to anyone. Stephan Scheel

Nice place. Stunning view. Friendly landlady.

The accommodation is superbly equipped - we really lacked nothing and we felt right at home. The apartment is located right at the beginning of the village. Distance to shopping is easily doable on foot, otherwise there is a bus stop right in front of the house. Communication with Daniel was very friendly and straightforward. We received all the necessary information and each time it was answered quickly. We were probably the only guests in the house, so we had the indoor pool all to ourselves. We loved it! Everything was very clean and well equipped. It has toilets, changing rooms and several showers. The sauna was also a great alternative in bad weather. All in all, we were extremely satisfied and would be very happy to come back!

Christian was a superb host! He arranged a taxi from the train station to and from and welcomed us to the area. The view was AMAZING! We loved our stay there and would definitely go back.

We loved our stay here! Be prepared to hike a steep incline to get to the apartment if you don’t rent a car. It’s well worth the hike for the incredible views but just be prepared! Everything was wonderful and we loved the location.

Amazing host and a breathtaking view. Too bad we couldn't use the pool due to cold windy weather but had an amazing time with family and kids. with only 10 min drive to local attractions and ferry. I would highly recommend this Michele and his property.
