Discover exclusive gems of the archipelago and make your adventure truly unforgettable

The space
This island is distinguished by its deep connection to the indigenous Guna community. It serves as a traditional coconut farm, where each palm tree supports their economy and cultural heritage. Here, you’ll have the chance to enjoy fresh coconuts straight from the harvest—a treat you won’t want to miss. The local store offers water, soda, beer, rum, wine, and snacks, ensuring you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The charming cabins, made from cane, wood, and straw, invite you to experience an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. Designed to allow air circulation and keep the interior cool throughout the day, these simple yet delightful cabins come equipped with comfortable beds and clean sheets for a restful night. Every detail here embodies the island’s essence and the warm hospitality of its people, making your visit truly unforgettable

Guest access
The island features a charming common area with a vibrant green dining room and inviting hammocks where you can unwind and enjoy a good book. Feel free to explore the entire island and relax on its beautiful beach. For snorkeling enthusiasts, the surrounding coral reefs offer a stunning underwater world to discover. We kindly ask you to avoid stepping on the corals to protect this delicate ecosystem and to keep you safe from sea urchins. In the evening, you can mingle with other guests or chat with our local guide, who will share fascinating insights about the area. Embrace a paradise where nature and tranquility blend seamlessly for an unforgettable experience!

Other things to note
When planning a trip to Tubasenik in San Blas, it’s essential to consider a few key factors, especially if you’re arriving in your own or a rented vehicle. The Guna Yala mountain range is a protected area with steep and winding roads, so a 4x4 vehicle is mandatory to access the port. If you’re prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking medication, as the journey from Panama City to Barsukun port can be bumpy due to the road’s slopes and curves.

It is mandatory to carry your original passports, as there is a checkpoint where you must present them and pay an eco-fee of USD 20.00 per person. A USD 15.00 toll is also required for your vehicle. Upon arrival at the port, you must pay a port tax of USD 2.00 per person and a parking fee of USD 5.00 for the duration of your stay. The boat ride to the island costs USD 40.00 per person round trip. Be sure to include these expenses in your travel budget to avoid any unpleasant surprises and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience
