If you are looking for peace, comfort, and relaxation this year it can be found at Grateful Ledge. This new custom lake/mountain house is a perfect escape from reality. With the lake, hiking trails, ski mountains, and other wonderful attractions in the area, you can find numerous ways to unwind in nature. Grateful Ledge is two hours from Boston, and an easy drive from CT/NYC and the best spot for couples, families, or friend getaways. Enjoy Long Pond and appreciate all that you’re grateful for.
The space
Grateful Ledge is nestled high among the trees on almost an acre, and across the street from Long Pond (our favorite lake in NH). We’ve designed this 3 bedroom, 3 bath custom home with comfort and relaxation in mind. Grateful Ledge is a short 3 minute walk to a beautiful public beach/boat launch (with parking if you need to drive down to the beach). We offer a large back deck with patio furniture, a covered front deck, a hammock, grill and picnic area, and fire pit (bring your own NH wood). Outdoor shower coming soon!
There is a plethora of hiking trails near by, and some are walking distance from the house.
Long Pond is magic and we hope our guests think so, too.

Guest access
* Guests may use our kayaks but they assume all risks. We are not held liable for any injury or death related to the use of kayaks, or swimming at the beach.
THE SPACE: Grateful Ledge is two stories and filled with natural light. It feels like you are perched in the treetops as the house sits on top of the hill.
MUDROOM: Perfect place to hang jackets and shoes, and more. Note - We are shoe free home to help with cleaning/dirt on brand new wood floors.
KITCHEN/LIVING: Clean and contemporary open concept design meant for conversation and has ample natural light. The modern and complete kitchen with wine fridge, storage and supplies, granite countertops, and more allows for memories to be made, as well as delicious meals. Plenty of seating, natural plants, blue tooth music speaker, and coffee table books, too.
BEDROOMS: All New Mattresses; Premium Linens; Portable Fans, Light Blocking Blinds
#1: First floor Master Bedroom with queen bed, end tables, closet system, natural light, and with ensuite large custom tile showered bathroom.
#2: Upstairs - Two sets of bunk beds, Closet, Kids Toys, White Noise Machine
#3: Upstairs- Queen Bed, Dresser, End Tables, Chair
WORKSPACE/LOFT:
Writing desk by a giant window that overlooks towards the lake. A perfect spot to work from the cabin (1Gig High Speed Internet). Loft includes a brand new Smart TV with Netflix and other Apps, Fold Out Couch, and other games/puzzles.
BATHROOMS:
Full Bath with custom tile walk in shower attached to master
Full Bath with tub and tile upstairs.
Half Bath with laundry room on main floor
HEATING/COOLING:
The home has central air and heat, water treatment system (please feel free to drink the water as we have a water filtration system), Nest Thermostats, portable fans, closet accessories, and plenty of amenities.
* Guests will not have access to basement, and one closet upstairs.
* Please bring your own Beach Towels.
Other things to note
The Area:
Grateful Ledge is less than 25 minutes to Mount Sunapee/Lake Sunapee, and 40 minutes to Keene, Concord, and Lebanon, NH. There is so much to do in the area, but you might never want to leave Long Pond.
We are also an easy drive to Pat’s Peak Ski Mountain, Crotched Mountain, Ragged Mountain and other ski mountains.
There are plentiful hiking trails near by, of all levels, and some a walking distance from our driveway. Pillsbury State Park is five minutes down the road, as well as the Monadnock- Sunapee Greenway trail. Check AllTrails for a complete list.
We are a 5 minute drive to a general store for last minute necessities, or a pizza, burger, or a breakfast sandwich and other items. The closest grocery store/pharmacy is 30 minutes away. We do recommend stopping at a grocery store prior to arrival.
Guests will have access (digital and print) to a guestbook with other highlights/attractions/suggestions.

Other things to note:
NO FIREWORKS on our property or town beach/boat launch.
No smoking or vaping in the home.
*The house is deep cleaned before each guest. All linens, towels, and surfaces are disinfected.
*We have a Ring security camera located in the front of the house used for check-in and for your safety and safety of the home when vacant.
*We are located in the mountain area and in surrounded by nature. We provide bug spray, citronella candles, and tick spray. You might see deer, coyote, bears, moose, and more while out hiking and exploring. Please respect our planet, and all creatures.
*Sorry, we love animals, but no pets at this time.
*Even though we have almost an acre, sound travels by the lake and we ask that you are aware of our neighbors. We request quiet hours outside after 10:00 pm, and please recognize this isn’t a party house.
*This is our personal home and we hope you will treat it (and the beach/lake/neighbors) with respect, care, and courtesy. We want you to enjoy Grateful Ledge with your friends and family, and come back in the future. Please clean up after yourself.
*Max number of guests is 9. Extra Fee for more than 8 guests.
*The property is plowed in the winter according to our plow guys schedule. However, the property isn’t plowed when there is 1 or 2 inches of snow as it’s a dirt driveway.
* Please bring your own NH firewood for the fire pit. Do not leave unattended.
*Highly recommend 4 wheel drive/all wheel drive in the winter/spring, as our house sits on top of long driveway, and road in is a dirt road. Also, it’s always better to have four wheel drive/all wheel drive in the mountains!
*Renter should be over the age of 24.
