A quiet rural Devon location with amazing sunsets and stars at night.

A perfect country escape, Paddock view is on the outskirts of a small hamlet in Mid Devon, with views across fields and Exmoor in the distance.

The accommodation is a detached open plan annexe for 2 people, self catering with a fully equipped kitchen, double bed, sofa, bathroom, wifi, courtyard, garden, chiminea, BBQ, parking 1 car and lovely views.

There's a country pub within a 1 min walk.

The space
The accommodation is very relaxing and calming, the colour scheme has been put together to make you feel instantly relaxed and comfortable.

With large windows the property is very bright and well ventilated but also has heavy blackout curtains. We have no street lighting here, so the nights are dark which is excellent for looking at the stars.

The property consists of a kitchen – electric cooker oven and 4 hobs, dishwasher, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery, pans, glasses, mugs, utensils.

There is a 2 seat sofa, 2 seat dining table, smart TV, guest wifi, double bed, shower room, toilet and sink. Views look out to open countryside and Exmoor.
Parking for one car.
No pets or children.

Outside area : private courtyard, seating, lawn and Chiminea for your sole use which you can see in the photos and a BBQ.
No smoking or vaping inside the property, only in the courtyard. . (You are not able to charge an electric car on site)

Things you can do/visit:

South coasts, - Exmouth, Sidmouth, Beer and many more
North Coasts, - Croyde, Woolacombe, Lynton and Lymouth, Porlock etc.
Exmoor - lots of walking, taking in the scenery, beautiful pubs for lunch, towns such as Dulverton and Dunster are a worthy visit, take a tour around Dunster castle.
We have lots of Farm shops where you can buy amazing local meats, vegetables, milk, fruits and enjoy a coffee and cake in the tea rooms. A list of farm shops can be found in the accommodation.

We also have the only horse drawn barge in the uk, which departs from Tiverton along the Grand Western canal, you can book a trip direct on their website and there is information in the accommodation.

Wimbleball Lake - Not just a great walk, but you can paddleboard, sail, and go canoeing here.

There is a folder containing information, local walks, places to visit and local eateries. A map of Exmoor and playing cards are also provided.

You can arrange with Tesco, Asda, Ocado and Waitrose for a shopping delivery for when you arrive. (Please ask for full postal address before you arrange). Please note the main supermarkets are a 7-8 mile drive.

If you are staying for 7 nights or more there will be a bed linen change and you can use a washing machine for £5 if you wish to refresh any clothing.

Iron and iron board also available upon request.

Neighborhood highlights

Staple Cross is a quiet Hamlet in Mid Devon, with nice walks and places to have a picnic.
In a short drive (5 min) you can join the Grand Western canal and enjoy a peaceful /picturesque walk or even paddle board if you have your own.

Staple Cross also has its very own pub which is open Weds- Sunday.

We are 7 miles from Tiverton, 5 miles from Bampton and 7 miles from Wellington.

Its 30 min drive to reach Exmoor or the lovely village of Dulverton.

We are 12 min drive from Tiverton Parkway train station. You can also connect with the M5 at J27 in 12 min drive, please note this is through country lanes.

We are also close to Huntsham Court and Middle Combe Farm Wedding venues.

We are a rural location so you will hear sheep, cows and the odd tractor passing.

There are nice walks from the accommodation, a map of Exmoor is provided in the property for you to use. Your host can also talk through other places to visit and there is a welcome folder with information in.
