The space
Our Barnstay is located in a central location of the 66-acre property. The barn measures about 30 by 35 feet or about 1000 sqft of living area. The master has a new king bed, additionally, a new twin over a full bunk bed is open to the living room. Entertain family and friends with a fireside hightop table seating four, a large eat-in kitchen seating eight, and a large living room with a double reclining leather sectional sofa. Ideal for dining / BBQing with up to 12 people and sleeping up to 6 people. Please reduce traffic where possible and ensure your guests aren’t lost and or on our neighbor's property. Note limited privacy (sound) between the master bedroom, bunks, and the main area. The wall is built to encourage airflow from the HVAC in the master. It has open spaces at the top and bottom but no direct lines of sight.

Amenities included: electricity, a 75" Samsung ultra high definition smart TV with high-speed Verizon Fios wifi, bedding with pillows, lighting, a ceiling fan, many games including a shuffleboard table, a fully stocked kitchen, a lighted private campfire area, and a rustic wooden wire spool standing bar down below the barn. The basement of the barn is our private storage (please stay out). You may also have RV guests in the front yard area of the barn from time to time.

Wood and coal are available during the winter months. We would like you to use the stove to help stay extra cozy!

Enjoy incredible panoramic views on the property of the Appalachian (Blue) Mountain and Swatara Creek State Park, beautiful sunsets, starry nights, and the warmth of a crackling fire from your campfire! Groomed snow trails and a toasty wood stove heated winter sports hut during snow season!

The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. Guests are welcome to use this at any time.

We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner & movie theater. Single-track trails and Sweet Arrow Lake are nearby. Rent our bikes or kayaks! Grocery stores and gas are also nearby.

Hershey Park, Knobels Grove, Rausch Creek Off-Road, as well as other fun adventures are near.

Great biking, hiking, & kayaking!

Guest access
Lots of parking space on the gravel for your vehicles. Plenty of space to tie down your airplane right in the front yard if you plan on flying in!

If you’re bringing your furry friends there’s a large 1.5-acre fenced dog park with a puppy playtime stock tank you may use. Just ask and we can show you.

We’ve recently added goats and Highland -Red Devon cows. You’re welcome to go look at them! We attend to them in the mornings and evenings, ask if you’d like to accompany us for some snuggles! There are 66 acres for you to enjoy including: goats, cows, chickens, ducks, and working dogs. Please stay within the tree lines. See the property boundary map under getting there directions in your trips tab.

The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone who comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage.

Other things to note
*** Be sure to check out the discounts we offer when you book multiple days in a row!! ***

You may fly in if you like. Ask for any details for you are flight planning.

Note: Monthly rental discounts are available. Work-stay exchange programs are available. We are always looking for good reliable part-time help on the farm! Please ask!
