Charming 1974 Beachside Retreat with Lush Garden & Tropical Breeze
Welcome to our beloved home, built with love in 1974 and infused with positivity ever since. Just steps from Bushiri Beach, this cozy retreat invites you to relax, unwind, and connect with nature.
Experience Nature’s Bounty
Our garden is home to fresh fruits and herbs for you to enjoy:
• Pomegranate – Right in front, with vibrant, delicious fruit.
• Aloe – Found on your left as you enter, perfect for sun-kissed skin.
• Mint & Basil – Located in the brown plant bed, great for fresh teas or cooking.
• Oregano – Near the street-side wall, adding a flavorful touch to meals.
• Mispel (Sapodilla) – The large tree on the left produces fruit with a pear-like taste—help yourself!
Please use only ¼ of each plant to allow them to thrive.
Wildlife & Island Charm
Expect friendly encounters with tiny Pega Pega lizards and iguanas—they’re part of our ecosystem, so please don’t feed or harm them. Our garden also welcomes many birds that will serenade you throughout the day.
Comfort & Relaxation
• Fresh Ocean Breeze: Open the front and back windows for a refreshing tropical airflow. If needed, use a wooden clothespin to keep them open.
• Mosquito Alert: Dusk and dawn bring mosquitos, so we’ve provided an electric swatter on the bedroom dresser for your convenience.
Beach & Water Conservation Tips
• Post-Beach Care: Rinse and hang your beachwear on the outdoor clothesline.
• Water Usage: Aruba’s water is precious! Please be mindful—turn off taps, and while showering, use the hot water heater (settings 1 & 2) for a warm, comfortable experience.
Enjoy your stay in this peaceful oasis where love, nature, and island vibes create an unforgettable getaway!

Other things to note
Our drinking glasses are in the freezer, always cold and dust-free.
The air conditioning is in Celcius, and if you keep it between 22 and 24 Celcius, you will find the house cools down quickly, especially when coming back from the beach or city. The bottom right button on the remote control shuts down the light the air conditioning emits, so you can sleep in total darkness or leave it on for a nightlight.
When leaving, we like to shut all the doors, windows, and even the curtains in the home so it remains cooler.
The toilet has two buttons; the small one is for number one, and the large one is for number two. Press and hold it until you feel the pressure on the button change.
The refrigerator already has cold water waiting for you. The best practice you can have is to fill it up after you use it and keep it full.
There's a coffee maker and fresh coffee bar for your convenience coffee on the c. There's sugar available as well; make sure you clean up dropped sugar; otherwise, you will invite a colony of ants to come and spend the day with you ;)
Across the street, there's a small convenience store called GANGA, and they have all the little things you might need, such as creamer, sodas, chips, beer, and more.
The outdoor lights work through solar and come on by themselves. If you want to turn off the big bright light in the evening, it's the top switch inside the house on the right against the wall when you enter the home.
Please use the table mats when eating or drinking at the table. You can find them under the coffee maker.
There are also two chairs with cooler bags included and a beach blanket; please make sure those are sand-free when leaving. The beach blanket will stay in place when you completely fill the four corners with sand.
