Situated on 165 ft of shoreline, enjoy stunning views with floor-to-ceiling windows where sounds of the waves meet the tranquility of the surrounding spruce trees. You’ll also notice the historic boat house built directly into the shoreline, a unique feature that adds to the cabin’s rich heritage. After a day of exploration, unwind in our mobile barrel sauna, offering a luxurious, yet rustic experience with panoramic views of the lake.

Nestled along the iconic Croftville Road in Grand Marais, Minnesota, Timber & Tide Cabins offer a nostalgic escape with a perfect blend of history and modern comfort. Built in 1948, these charming cabins have been lovingly preserved to maintain their unique heritage while offering guests a relaxing and memorable stay in one of the most picturesque regions of the North Shore. The sense of peace and history that surrounds the cabins is something we strive to preserve and pass on for years to come. Whether you're here for a weekend getaway or a week of adventure, we hope you find the same magic that we feel every day in this remarkable place.

- Enter beach at your own risk (caution: uneven surface, unpredictable waters)

- Use sauna at your own risk. Waiver must be signed before entering sauna. Follow sauna safety instructions.

- The Tide Cabin shares property with The Timber Cabin. Closeness to nature and solitude are a couple of the reasons why our guests choose to visit our property, and we ask that you respect quiet hours and our other guests' privacy.

- The North Shore is full of wildlife and bugs. Please be respectful of the animals you may see on the property. Spring and summer are heavy bug seasons, and you will likely have to deal with mosquitos, occasional spiders, and cluster flies. We do what we can to minimize flies around the building during fly season, but some years are worse than others, and they may come regardless of our efforts.
