Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
Reconnect with nature at this unusual escape, sleeping in a tree tent overlooking the reed beds. It’s a new addition to celebrate the 10th year of our glamping site which is only ten minutes walk away from Woodbridge, a lively Suffolk market town.
We also have two bell tents and a shepherds hut, both sleeping four.
We’ve got an exciting addition to our site - a wood fired hot tub in the reeds which our guests can hire for three hour sessions. Please enquire for further details.

The space
Tree tent is a fun alternative for more adventurous campers - it’s like sleeping in a really comfy hammock but being protected from the weather and mozzies too.

The tree tent is suspended between three old willow trees, on the edge of reedbeds.
The trees had to be pollarded last winter as they were getting very top heavy and branches started breaking, so they’re a bit bare at the moment. New branches are already growing and they should be nice and full by mid summer.
There are a couple of pillows and blankets in the tent, also a duvet for colder nights! Do bring your own towels please if you can.

Next to the tent you'll find a private cooking and sitting area covered by a shade sail. We provide a gas camp cooker, ice box with ice packs, pots and pans, utensils, a cafetière , teapot, cutlery, plates/bowls/mugs - all the basic kitchen stuff you need for your stay.
Also a washing-up bowl and liquid, dishcloths and tea towels.

In the reeds you’ll find our outdoors hot shower, a bit of luxury in nature. We have compost toilets, so no water wasted there.

We have a new exciting addition to our site - a wood fired hot tub in the reeds which our guests can hire for £50 for a 3 hour session.
Please enquire for further details.

There is an electric point in the middle of the site where you can charge your phones. There is a tap with drinking water, no need to bring bottled water.

There is a firepit for bonfires and barbecues (we also sell firewood), there are hammocks and swings, trees to climb on, a stream to paddle in and an occasional train going by to wave at. We're right by the East Suffolk railway line and so we hope that, like us, you'll see the twice-hourly train as more of an entertainment rather than nuisance.
In addition to seeing an occasional rabbit hopping around the orchard, muntjac deer peeking through the brambles, a crazy cuckoo waking you up far too early, owl hooting at night and bats flittering at dusk you can also meet our three alpacas - Merlin, Prince and Ringo.

We've had great fun developing our glamping site, reflecting our ambition to share this beautiful and unique environment with others.
