Reconnect with nature at this unusual escape, sleeping in a tree tent overlooking the reed beds. It’s a new addition to celebrate the 10th year of our glamping site which is only ten minutes walk away from Woodbridge, a lively Suffolk market town.
We also have two bell tents and a shepherds hut, both sleeping four.

The space
Tree tent is an exciting alternative for more adventurous campers. My husband and one of my boys tried it out on Brownsea Island, the scouts birth place, and said they had the most comfortable sleep they’ve ever had in a tent - it’s like sleeping in a really comfy hammock but being protected from the weather and mozzies too. They’ve been begging me ever since to get one set up in our garden so you can thank them for the experience 😀

The tree tent only sleeps two, I haven’t managed to find a family size one yet. However, you’re welcome to bring a pop-up tent if there’s more people but it really does have to be a small tent!

The tree tent is suspended between three old willow trees, on the edge of reedbeds. There are a couple of pillows and blankets in the tent but please bring your own sleeping bags/duvets! Let me know if bringing your own bedding is a problem and I can sort you out.

Next to the tent you'll find a private cooking and sitting area covered by a shade sail. We provide a gas camp cooker, ice box with ice packs, pots and pans, utensils, a cafetière , teapot, cutlery, plates/bowls/mugs - all the basic kitchen stuff you need for your stay.
Also a washing-up bowl and liquid, dishcloths and tea towels.

In the reeds you’ll find our outdoors hot shower, a bit of luxury in nature. We have compost toilets, so no water wasted there.

There is an electric point in the middle of the site where you can charge your phones. There is a tap with drinking water, no need to bring bottled water.

There is a firepit for bonfires and barbecues (we also sell firewood), there are hammocks and swings, trees to climb on, a stream to paddle in and an occasional train going by to wave at. We're right by the East Suffolk railway line and so we hope that, like us, you'll see the twice-hourly train as more of an entertainment rather than nuisance.
In addition to seeing an occasional rabbit hopping around the orchard, muntjac deer peeking through the brambles, a crazy cuckoo waking you up far too early, owl hooting at night and bats flittering at dusk you can also meet our three alpacas - Merlin, Prince and Ringo.

We've had great fun developing our glamping site, reflecting our ambition to share this beautiful and unique environment with others.
