Hosts

I’m Alex. I live next door with my partner Greta, two quiet dogs, and a cat.

We’re around if you need anything - directions, restaurant tips, good conversation.

Some guests we barely see. Others end up staying for dinner and talking until midnight. Whatever feels right for you.

Im a qualified life coach and spent years in the corporate world before walking away to build this life. If you’re at a crossroads yourself - thinking about slowing down, changing direction, figuring out what actually matters - I’m happy to talk. No agenda. Just conversation.

If you’d rather just swim, read, sleep, and disappear for a few days, that’s perfect too.

What guests have said

“This whole experience felt like a fairytale and gave me much clarity and so much peace.”

“Perfect for recharging both body and soul.”

“Gently present without intruding.”

The kind of place this is

Quiet. Unplugged. Real.

Just beautiful old buildings, a river that’s been here for thousands of years, and the kind of silence most people have forgotten exists.

Come and do nothing for a while. You’ll leave lighter than you arrived.

I have a 3 night minimum so you can fully relax and enjoy the space .

Where you’ll be

Coutos de Viseu, Viseu, Portugal

Mosteirinho and Passos are two quaint villages near Viseu, Portugal, each offering unique cultural and historical experiences. The property is on its own forest in between these two villages …

Mosteirinho: This small village is renowned for its picturesque landscapes and historical structures. A notable landmark is the metal bridge, often attributed to Gustave Eiffel, which was part of the former Dão railway line, now transformed into an ecopista (eco-trail). This trail offers scenic views of the village and the surrounding Caramulo mountains. The village also features the charming Chapel of São Salvador do Mundo, nestled among traditional granite houses and narrow streets. For families, there's a fenced playground with equipment for children's amusement.

Passos: Located in the Silgueiros parish, Passos is a serene village characterized by its rich cultural heritage. The village is home to the Biblioteca de Passos de Silgueiros, a cultural center that serves as a hub for community activities and literary events. Additionally, the Parque Infantil de Passos offers a recreational space for children, featuring various play equipment. The village's tranquil environment and community facilities make it a charming place to visit.

Both villages exemplify the traditional charm of the Viseu region, offering visitors a glimpse into Portugal's rural heritage and community life.
