Elda and Jose's place is a spacious and luminous 2-story appartement with breathtaking views of the Douro and sloped vineyards. Lodging comes with access to the private vineyard, which provided our family with unforgettable walks in misty weather and blazing sunshine. The landscaping provides a dreamlike atmosphere, labyrinthine paths for kids' play and numerous seating options to admire the ever-changing scenery. Elda and Jose are super-friendly and attentive. Waiting for the bread van every morning with our kids was also a highlight. This place is magical.

An excellent place to stay and well worth the money. Clean, comfortable, warm and having an amazing view of the mountains from the open plan dining room and kitchen. Full of modern amenities as well as a lovely, warm, jacuzzi. Fernando is very friendly as well as helpful and responsive.

We were six friends getting together to enjoy the Douro valley and wine tastings. Jesse’s home was the perfect setting. Great open floor plan with a wood burning fireplace, spectacular views, swimming pool, not to mention the pool table which makes for hilarious fun after a long day tasting wonderful Douro wines. The bedrooms were large and the beds comfortable. Would happily stay here again on our next Douro trip!

Our stay was absolutely magical! Maria, our host, radiates authenticity and boundless kindness. My almost 3-year-old daughter, who usually takes a while to warm up to new people, connected with Maria in under two minutes! The accommodation was spotless—so clean we could have eaten off the floor! We wholeheartedly recommend this place without hesitation!

We absolutely loved our time in the Douro Valley and we were so lucky to call this beautiful place home for our stay. The location was great, close to everything we needed & the views were simply stunning from every window! Anibal was a wonderful host, who was very responsive whenever we had any questions & also provided lots of information regarding local attractions/ amenities.

Absolutely phenomenal home that is sure to be a once in a lifetime experience for your friends and family if you book. The scenery is stunning and no little detail goes unnoticed by the Pinta House Team. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Douro!

The cottage is situated in a small valley surrounded by vines, olive trees, herbs with a large fig tree. The views from the kitchen window across the hills is beautiful. Very peaceful and a sun trap. Ana and her team worked hard to make sure we were happy throughout our stay. Used it as a base to explore the wider area in our small hire car - don’t get a big one as the approach roads can be very narrow.

We had some great days at the lemon farm. The pool and the cute horses were our highlight. Jorge was always helpful and organized a Portuguese Cheese Board which was delivered right to the Bungalow. All in all - a fantastic experience ☺️

This was by far our favorite place to stay in Portugal. Lurdes’s went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The house and location were absolutely breathtaking. We already miss it there. The next time we visit we would like to stay much longer. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!😊
