“I think that I shall never see a poem lovely as a tree” inspired the creation of this magical treehouse.
Hidden within woodland on our Waveney Valley farm and lovingly shaped around living trees, it is a deeply romantic hideaway designed for slow mornings and candlelit evenings.
Glowing stained glass, bespoke woodcraft and storybook details create an intimate, enchanting escape — secluded, soulful and utterly unforgettable. Strictly no pets, but you’re very welcome to borrow ours.
The space
So much love has gone into creating this great escape, thoughtfully designed for travellers who seek luxurious, quirky spaces with a difference. This is no ordinary treehouse—few can boast central heating, a flushing toilet and a proper shower with ample hot water, allowing you to enjoy woodland living without sacrificing comfort, even on chillier mornings and evenings.
Hand-built and full of character, the Treehouse offers a sense of fun, calm and quiet enchantment. Tucked within its own private pocket of woodland, yet close to the farmhouse, it feels wonderfully secluded without being isolated. For larger gatherings, the Treehouse can be enjoyed alongside our other nearby stays.
The Treehouse is solar-powered, perfect for charging phones and lighting candles, but does not support high-voltage appliances such as TVs, hairdryers or irons. The sitting area is designed for conversation, reading and lingering into the evening—there is no television, by design. This is a place to slow down and reconnect, helped along by books, candlelight and birdsong.
The kitchen is beautifully crafted and ideal for simple cooking, with a four-ring gas hob but no oven. A generously sized fridge is located just outside the door.
Set on a 38-acre hobby farm, free-range animals wander nearby, adding to the sense of wonder. You’re welcome to explore the farm at your leisure, though we kindly ask that gates are kept closed and animals are not approached in the fields without a guide. Alpaca walking, reindeer experiences and guided farm tours are available on site.
Bread, vegetables, meats and fresh eggs are available from our wonderful local farm shop just a short walk away.
You may be visited by our friendly peacocks, who are particularly fond of squashed ginger nuts and may even eat from your hand. At night, you might hear animals moving beneath the platform or across the roof—rest assured, they’re farmyard friends, not wolves.
As a woodland retreat, the Treehouse is carefully cleaned between stays, though the occasional leaf or cobweb is part of its natural charm. We ask guests to respect the peaceful setting—no noisy parties—as there are other retreats nearby and a neighbour at the end of the drive. Some distant road noise may be heard at times. Sensible footwear is recommended.
If you have animal allergies, please consider this carefully before booking.
Guest access
Guests are welcome to wander around the farm and enjoy the open spaces, while being mindful that other retreats, like your own, may be occupied. We positively encourage gentle, respectful interaction with the animals you may meet along the way.
For everyone’s safety, please do not enter any areas where gates are closed, and only access fields or enclosures when accompanied by a member of our farm team. Please also do not walk along the grassway past the hangar, as this forms part of a live airstrip.
Alpaca walking, reindeer experiences (including reindeer and meerkat encounters) and guided farm tours are available at an additional cost and must be booked directly with our farm experience team.
As this is a working farm, we recommend bringing wellies and sturdy walking shoes, as paths and fields can become muddy at times.
Other things to note
Do feel free to ask any questions about the farm or the animals.
If you plan to do an alpaca walk then please note it's a special price for our Airbnb guests of £25 per person, this must be booked directly with Unicorn Alpaca Walks. Please see our Guide Book for all details regarding walks and tours.
Regarding flights, this is done on a cost-sharing basis in a modern aircraft from the airstrip which is located on the farm. WE can only take one person up at a time and ask for a £50 contribution for fuel PER PERSON. This is completely weather dependent and best booked on arrival as we hate to disappoint. Please note the plane can only take one passenger at a time.
