Comfy bed for better sleep

The room-darkening shades and extra bedding are loved by guests.
Escape to our peaceful retreat, nestled in a quiet holler with a boat ramp and a shoreline beach that ebbs with the tide. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, or simply relaxing on two decks with the breathtaking sunrise and starry night views. Unwind by the fire pit, explore the water, or stay cozy in one of three bedrooms. Wi-Fi is available if needed, but this spot is perfect for disconnecting from the hustle and recharging in nature.

The space
Access to the property is on a steep descent gravel driveway. Recommend front wheel drive, four-wheel-drive, or all wheel drive vehicles. I have parking for rear wheel drive or additional vehicles at top of hill.

Guest access
The boat ramp and beach is a shared space with us! As the weather warms, we will be down there enjoying the beach, swimming, or taking our boat out. Please do not block the driveway to the boat ramp. Thank you!

Other things to note
The Chowan River’s brackish, tea-colored water is part of its natural charm. While it’s typically clear for swimming and recreation, naturally occurring algae can occasionally cause the water to appear greener depending on seasonal and weather conditions.

New addition! Our outdoor shower is here — complete with a foot rinse and concrete stepping stones. Perfect for washing off sandy toes after a day by the river. Come clean, refresh, and enjoy a relaxing shower in the river breeze.
