The little cottage is an award winning romantic retreat ,A rustic semi detached property , fully self contained with kitchen , dining area ,comfy lounge , bedroom ,wet room and pretty garden with a cosy snug room and drive .The old thatched cottage is full of character within a beautiful part of the Wiltshire countryside . Perfect for romantic breaks , cycling , walking and the shooting .Great places to visit ,Marlborough , Salisbury,
Hungerford, Stone henge

The space
Perfect for couples to hideaway on a weekend retreat or individuals who enjoy the local shooting, riding or many local activities. Also perfect for a girls night away .

Lovely local pubs within walking distance . The wonderful market town of Marlborough is a short drive away with a great selection of restaurants ,shops and bars .Hungerford is worth a visit , lovely shops and canal walks .so much to see and do locally , plenty of local walks , dogs welcome
Or just relax and unwind in the hot tub.. The cottage is 400 years old, so ceilings are low .Please note that the woodburner heater is electric, and due to the three oil heaters, it is just used for the lighting, not for heat

Guest access
The cottage is completely self contained, and secluded with parking for two cars on the drive.
Keys will be left in a safe pickup place .The gate has a cctv sign. This is for Island house. The cottage does not have cctv. The cottage is 400 years old so the ceiling is low.

Other things to note
We supply two bath and hand towels . You may wish to bring towels for the hot tub and flip flops.
Please park in front of the cottage gates .
We have honey from our bee hives .
Please message if you would like to purchase, a donation goes to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
We use oil for heating so we would appreciate it if heating was used efficiently to avoid rental cost increases .

The cottage is in beautiful Sunton, which has picturesque thatched cottages and pretty walks , beautiful at any time of the year.
The village has a local shop and post office , The Shears is a ten minute walk situated on the Cadley road and offers good food .The Barleycorn pub is very welcoming and has good food . Gastro Nick's is a deli in the village and offers a good selection of fish, local produce, and good wines .
check their website for pizzas , and you need to pre-order .Bath , Salisbury, and Winchester are a drive away . Not forgetting Stone Henge and Longleat . It is a great location to explore.
