Welcome to Calvin Container Cottage – a unique shipping container cottage, nestled in nature. This cottage offers all the modern amenities for your comfort, while found in the forest, and close to many outdoor opportunities.

Enjoy the Calvin Container Cottage to connect with family, catch up with friends, and most importantly to access nature, unwind and recharge.

The space
This stay offers two bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of four people, one bathroom, full kitchen, living room and dining room. Step out the front door into nature. This cottage was built in 2023 and is brand new for your comfort.

Dining Room:
Table of four set up, with extender and bench to comfortably sit 5-6 people. Plenty of space for meals, board games and puzzles.

Living Room:
Comfortable chaise couch and two sitting chairs. Complete with smart tv and wifi. Guests can use complementary Samsung TV channels or sign into their own streaming applications.

Kitchen:
Cook up meals and make snacks in the fully equipped kitchen. This kitchen offers a peninsula for added counter space and has all the cooking equipment needed. Furnished with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher, all your needs are met. Kettle and coffee maker (guests will need to bring ground coffee) available for hot beverages. Pots, pans, dishware, glassware, utensils, etc. all provided. Water is potable (safe for drinking).

Master Bedroom:
This bedroom has a patio door with direct access to the outdoors. Furnished with a double sized medium firm mattress and gel memory foam pillows. Room complete with full size closet. All linens provided.

Second Bedroom:
This bedroom offers a double bed complete with medium firm mattresses and gel memory foam pillows. Room complete with a full size closet. All linens provided.

Bathroom:
The 3-piece bathroom offers a shower with a heat lamp, sink/vanity, and toilet. Bathroom towels provided for all.

Guest access
The cottage is for your personal use, no other guests will be onsite at the same time. Owners access neighbouring property.

The cottage is accessible via a secondary highway. You will enter the property on a gravel/dirt driveway.

Ample dedicated guest parking.

Other things to note
Pet friendly. We welcome dogs that are house trained and well behaved.
The cottage is non-smoking. Outdoor receptacles will be provided for cigarette butts. As we are in the forest, we expect these to be used.
Fire pit is accessible seasonally. Firewood for campfire is provided. Fires are only permitted in the firepit area and must be closely monitored. If there is a fire ban in the area, you will be notified and will be expected to adhere to local rules.
Wi-Fi is available for your convenience. Wi-Fi calling may be best inside the cottage.
The outdoor space, complete with a full deck, outdoor dining set and bistro set, is being completed and is not yet captured in the pictures.
We are located in Northern Ontario, so we do encourage you to pack your bug repellent, and bring appropriate clothing and footwear as the terrain is uneven onsite.
