Tokutoha is an old private house built about 80 years ago in Teshima, Kagawa Prefecture, which we renovated and started operating in the summer of 2021.
It is an old house that is laid out on a large site on a charming stone wall, and you can enjoy the calm atmosphere of the house. Enjoy the luxurious architecture of the time, such as the roof decorated with the Seven Lucky Gods' Oni tiles, the wavy glass windows made with old manufacturing methods, and the very large lanterns.
Conveniently located about a 15-minute walk from Teshimayaura Port, it is located on a hill overlooking the entire tranquil village, and beyond that, the view of the calm Seto Inland Sea spreads out. Also, on a clear night, you can relax and watch the starry sky and the moon rising from the mountains in the distance.
The building consists of a main building and an annex, and as a measure against infectious diseases, we accept one group in each building to ensure that everyone can stay with peace of mind. The main building has thin glass on the veranda and other places that can be dangerous for children, so please book the annex for children under elementary school age.
Behind the building are fields and rich woodland, and we also raise goats. Also, we recommend taking a stroll around the quiet pond nearby and the intricate alleys of the village.

● Kitchen (with a wood-burning stove), dining room (with a sunken hearth), large bath, toilet with a warm water bidet, 3 air conditioners, and a fully automatic washer and dryer.
● All rooms are non-smoking.
● The glass on the edge is thin and there are places that can be dangerous for children, so please book the "annex" for children under elementary school age.

* We will provide simple bread and coffee for breakfast (self-service). Currently, in order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, options such as Toshima's egg rice set meals and dinner are temporarily suspended. Please let us know if you need any assistance, such as making a reservation at a restaurant on the island.
Guest access
The garden in front of the annex and the toilet accessible from the garden are shared with guests staying in the annex. The sea side garden is exclusively for guests staying in the main building, and there is a private toilet in the room for guests staying in the main building.
Other things to note
* Please let us know your arrival time in advance and we will pick you up at the port.
* Please let us know in advance if you need luggage storage (before or after check-in).
* Tokto is located just past the alley in a quiet residential neighborhood. Please be quiet after 8 pm while listening to the sounds of insects.
* Please note that most of the doors and windows are made of wood from the time of construction, so they are not as soundproof as metal sashes.
* There are many insects living in the mountains and forests directly behind the premises. We have insect repellent, but please bring any insect repellent you normally use.
* Because the island has suffered from industrial waste problems, we do not provide disposable plastic products such as toothbrushes and toothpaste. Please bring them with you. We hope you will help us sort the garbage.
