The Sassafras is our most private cabin. Secluded at the end of a driveway, it is surrounded by nature. One can hear the mountain streams from the large, covered porch. The furnishings are appropriately rustic yet modern in every since of the word. Free, dependable, high-speed, fiber internet and a smart TV are just two of the recent upgrades. In winter enjoy the floor to ceiling stacked stone gas log fireplace. Hike to a mountain top or visit a rushing stream...all without leaving the property.

Guests come to hike the Appalachian trail, whitewater raft the Nantahala River, and to just rest in an amazingly cozy & romantic mountain cabin with a hot tub and view of a lifetime.

If you are looking for a secluded cabin with breathtaking views where you can relax and unwind this is the place. 4x4 or AWD is required to access the cabin. The driveway is mountainous, steep, and gravel. This cabin has one bedroom and one bath with a pull out sofa bed perfect for a couple or family of 4. Located 20 minutes from Bryson City, the Nantahala Forest and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. **Monthly rentals available for 2 adults only. No pets no exceptions. ***

Mateo 39A at Nantahala Weddings - pets allowed

Pets allowed. $75 pet fee per pet. $150 penalty if you fail to indicate number of pets via "Guests" drop-down menu when you book. The Mateos are 4 small bungalows with eye-popping views of Lake Nantahala and the Smoky Mountains through an 8-foot sliding glass door. Each Mateo has a queen size bed, private bath, ac/heat, and a kitchenette with a Keurig coffeemaker, refrigerator with freezer, air fryer, microwave, tableware, and glassware for two. The Mateos are not handicap-accessible.

We are just 20 minutes away from Bryson City and the Nantahala Outdoor Center, 10 minutes from Tsali Recreation, 25 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park, Cherokee and The Blue Ridge Parkway. Enjoy , ping pong, fire pit, porch swing. 13miles to Andrews or NOC, for closest grocery store, pubs, restaurants. I do NOT allow pets due to allergies. No smoking inside of cabin. outside smoking ok. You will have a wonderful,private, relaxing time at my cabin. extra parking for boat, etc.
