Monthly Rentals in King's Somborne

This really is an idyllic spot. While attached to the owners house, it feels private. The barn itself is very tastefully done and was a larger space than I’d anticipated. The garden area with seating is pretty and our dog enjoyed herself exploring away. It’s off the beaten track in a very picturesque spot ideal for great walking. The owners (who we briefly met & who were helpful & polite) have been upfront about the state of the road leading to the property. In reality, it’s only the hill part of this which is ‘testy’ if you don’t have an SUV/4WD (& we don’t). We decided from day 2 to park the car in Houghton - if you come out of the property, turn right, it’s a 2 minute walk to Houghton. Very close to the start of this public path in Houghton on the main road is public off road parking for a couple of cars. This worked for us but obviously it’s public parking and you can’t guarantee a space & it’s at the owners risk. All in, we had a lovely couple of days - thank you!

Great stay in a marvellous property, everything that was required and more. Hosts were really helpful and friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending!

We had a lovely stay at Carole and Chris’s beautiful annexe. It was clean, cosy, and had everything we needed. We were welcomed with fresh croissants and a great selection of cereals for breakfast. The location is peaceful and scenic—perfect for a weekend away. We were in town for a wedding and wish we had more time to explore and enjoy the amazing book collection and the beautiful neighbourhood. We did get halfway through a fun puzzle! Thank you, Carole and Chris, for sharing your warm and welcoming space. We’d love to stay again if we’re back in Winchester.

A lovely two nights at Rosie’s place. Rosie and her husband gave a friendly welcome with lots of helpful recommendations. The space was very peaceful and private and the view over the beautiful garden was a real treat while sitting on the little balcony. Houghton was a great base for going to Mottisfont, Winchester and Salisbury and we enjoyed looking in all the quaint little shops in nearby Stockbridge. We had two delicious meals, one in the local pub the Boot and another at Purbani in Stockbridge. Thanks again Rosie.
