Traditional Cosy Stone Cottage

KeithRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Fantastic escape! Beautiful cottage, peaceful and quiet. No noise just the songs of the birds. Fresh air from open space and nearby forest. Wonderful uninterrupted views over Kenmare bay with lovely sunsets. Best of all, the best sleep in a long time. The cottage had everything needed for our holiday and was warm and cosy. The host was friendly and helpful, we felt the cottage was ours for the holiday as it was private. Our Collie was so relaxed and enjoyed her time, especially the nearby forest. Thoroughly recommend.

Bridgeview Cottage at Kilmeen Wood Farm

LauraRating, 5 starstoday
We had a wonderful stay! The house was absolutely perfect for our family of two adults and three children — clean, modern, and very comfortable. Everything was so thoughtfully prepared, from the fresh scones on arrival to the local ice cream, milk, and butter, which were lovely touches that made us feel right at home. The hot tub was a real treat and the perfect way to relax after a busy day exploring the area. There’s so much to do nearby — our family especially enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking in Rosscarbery. Clonakilty is a charming town with great spots for shopping, coffee, and lunch, and the Clonakilty Pudding factory tour was a fun and unique experience. We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-equipped base to explore this beautiful part of Ireland.

Trag Retreat Cottage

We all had an amazing time at the tag retreat cottage! The place is clean and beautiful, location is amazing (3 minutes drive to nice sandy beach perfect for swimming 🙂), amazing fenced in garden very secure for pets, hot tub that is on at all times and was the absolute highlight of our trip! Plus we had the cutest little sheep as neighbours 😍 All in all a wonderful trip and we can’t wait to be back! Sarah the host is so lovely and responsive, she couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome in her beautiful cottage. We’ve been to many Airbnbs in the Irish countryside but this is absolutely the best of the best.

Pulleen Cottage

LauraRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We spent two wonderful weeks in the house of Mairead and Jack. Both make you feel very welcome in every way. They are also good company; great tips and sense of humor. The cottage is fully equipped and a lovely place to be. Whatever request you might have (e.g. comfortable garden chairs) or whatever problem (e.g. a loose shoe sole, a broken walking stick); they offer a quick solution. Mairead also brought delicious, homemade scones. During the day we went for long walks in the beautiful surroundings. The coast of the Beara Peninsula is breathtaking. Nice pubs too! In the evening we liked to go to the harbour nearby (perfect filmlocation) or the curious and friendly horses near the house. Also recommended is attending a meditation in the Buddhist centre Dzogchen Beara (twenty minutes by car). We enjoyed the company of donkey Jenny in our garden. In short: this is truly a holiday accommodation of the highest order. We would have loved to stay much longer!
