Monthly Rentals in Kilgobnet

This was our 5th time staying at Gene's place, so obviously we love it! The flat is gorgeous: filled with light and with great views of McGillicuddy's Reeks, with a big beautiful kitchen and amazing main bedroom suite with en suite bath and dressing room. Everything is always immaculately clean. But what makes it truly special are the hosts. Gene is a great communicator, and this time we finally got to meet him in person. His parents live downstairs and are just the loveliest people you could ever meet. The location is also perfect: close enough to Killarney to be able to enjoy its restaurants and pubs, but well outside of the tourist hubbub. In short, everything about this place is absolutely perfect!

We stayed 3 nights in June 2025 with 4 adults. The property and surroundings are amazing. Peaceful countryside setting but with modern amenities. We very much enjoyed the outdoor sitting area and small gas BBQ during the long summer evenings. Marie was friendly and always responsive, even with simple problems (like how to lock the front door). The kitchen was large and well equipped with capsule coffee machine and a nice view of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks. The bedrooms were comfortable with very nice comforters. There was a pellet stove in the living room that we didn't use - as well as TV and WiFi. Bathrooms were modern. Killarney is about a 20-25 minute drive, and Marie provides a list of local restaurants. We instead grilled steaks and enjoyed the views. A great place for the views and easy access to Dunloe Gap / Ring of Kerry / Dingle. A great alternative to staying in Killarney / Kenmare / Tralee.

We were late getting in around 10pm and Ann still greeted us with homemade bread, butter, jam and milk! We felt at home and so welcomed. It was an incredible place to stay during our adventures in the Ring of Kerry. We got to meet the farm dogs and they even accompanied us for a walk to see the Mountain View with sheep and cows. I could have stayed here the whole trip. We also traveled with an infant which had the perfect room with a queen bed and a twin bed so we could keep an eye on our daughter while she slept! FIVE STARS!!

Killorglin is such a great location. The town has everything you need and it makes a great base for exploring the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula. The place was spacious and comfortable with a river view.
