Monthly Rentals in Hurley

This is a very nice small casita. We stayed here for a month while we were searching for a more permanent home in Silver City and were very pleased with the quiet neighborhood, close proximity to the Boston Hills Trail system, and easy walking to anything we needed in downtown Silver City. There is a very nice front and back porch, which sadly, we didn't use due to unusually cold temperatures during our visit. A new tankless hot water heater provided all the warmth we needed for a good long shower and the kitchen has many necessary staples provided. I highly recommend this spot if you are visiting Silver City!

This was my second stay at Ellen‘s place. It is the perfect homebase for me and my dog while we visit all of the amazing hiking sites in the area. I love coming home all tuckered out and relaxing on the deck under the juniper tree with beautiful views of the valley. Ellen is a sweetheart, and even loaned me a sweatshirt when I realized I hadn’t packed enough warm clothes! It’s quiet, private, and peaceful and I can’t wait to come back again!

We had a wonderful afternoon and evening, and the place was everything that Jan had described. It got a bit chilly in the middle of the night, but we couldn’t locate an extra blanket until out of desperation we took our coats off the chair and discovered a quilt laying right in front of us. We do wish, however, that the pillows were a little thicker. the amenities that Jan had provided were great. When we were ready to leave, we had two deer come to our door, apparently to say goodbye.

Wonderful host. The location was very peaceful. I enjoyed eating outside and making a small fire in the evening. The kitchen was functional. We enjoyed caring for the chickens in the morning. All of the free range animals were very friendly. Cheryl came and greeted us when we arrived and made us feel welcome. She gave us a tour of the property and knows the area well. She was able to offer great suggestions of things to do while we were in the area. She kept us stocked up on fresh eggs from her chickens. Directions to the property were very specific, but I had difficulty finding the sign. Overall, I had a very relaxing weekend and I look forward to staying here again as a peaceful getaway.
