Had a wonderful 2 nights at this amazing house. Stunning views and enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub watching a beautiful sunset. The stone bath was amazing, and again, lovely views from the master bedroom. Highly recommend

Old hall is in a fabulous location with beautiful walks and a lovely, swimmable beach accessible from the door. the house is comfortable, fully equipped, scrupulously clean and Sandra is a very responsive host ☺️ we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. top tip: we did need to use our eye masks as the room is quite light with the early sun.

My friends and I loved the space and light and comfort of the Kirk. We came all the way from Norfolk on trains and ferries and fell in love with the land and seas and community of Hoy. The peace is deep here ... no background hum. I love to see the sea around me. We cycled over to Rackwick Bay which was exhilarating and went to cafe church at Emily's which was connecting. This is one of my new favourite Airbnb places! A beautiful cottage surrounded by spectacular island life and nature, and an amazing place for me to write my PhD. thesis in silence. Brenda's place is well equipped, clean, and spacious, and has an amazing view over the sea, which will captivate you all day long, in every weather. I even saw seals playing in the harbour while here. There are a lot of cooking supplies in the kitchen, and I could even bake bread. The interior is designed with a lot of love and attention to detail. Bike rental and a local shop are in close distance and since I had a lot of luggage, Brenda even arranged transport for me to and from the ferry, which was very kind. I would recommend everyone to come to Shapinsay to experience the "real Orkney island life."
