Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Hood River County

What an amazing stay! Even tho it rained most of the time, watching the river on the deck and gazing out at Mt Hood was definitely worth it. We even had turkeys pop in on us.

Our group of 6 kids and 4 adults had a great time at the house. It was large with plenty of space in the common areas with a gorgeous master. (It was a little unfair to the adults who had to sleep in smaller rooms or on the couch, but hey, I found the place ;-)) The kitchen was well stocked to cook family dinners, and it was great to have 3 bathrooms. Would recommend the place as a launching pad for your mountain adventure.

Travis’s place was so clean and comfortable, full of all the amenities we needed to prepare Christmas dinner. The linens and beds were comfortable. There were clear instructions throughout the home which were very helpful and a nice touch . The views were incredible from every room and angle in the house! We had so much fun using the game room and gym as well! This was one of the nicer, cleaner places we’ve stayed. We hope to return in the future!

Highly recommend! Lovely, well appointed home with gracious, easy to communicate with host. The house was very clean, quiet and spacious with comfy beds. Bunk beds even worked for grown up kids :) The location is great for snow fun, getting to Mt Hood Meadows easily or going into Hood River. And Parkdale is only 5 minutes away if you're looking for a brewery, grocery, coffee shop, etc. We'll definitely look to stay here again when looking in Parkdale!

Amanda's place was perfect for myself and two teen kids for spring break! Minutes to the mountain to ski, walking distance to coffee, pizza place (delicious), a DQ and a short drive (2 miles or less) to a grocery store if needed. I had brought games, but Amanda had several as well as there is no TV which was kind of nice to be honest! The hot tub got used at least twice daily after skiing too.

Beautiful little apartment. Thoughtfully decorated and appointed. It was super easy and fun to cook here as the kitchen is super well stocked with pots, spatulas, olive oil, etc. Great location! Amazing access to the mountains (we did coyote wall trail by host recommendation and it was gorgeous and super short drive away) and a short walk to a few yummy local restaurants and a grocery store. Only note is that the outdoor area is a little more detached from the unit and open to the sidewalk than we expected— hosts were super friendly and outdoor space was very beautiful though!

House was beautiful and cozy. Everything was clean and well-stocked, hot tub was lovely. Perfect getaway on Mt. Hood. Dean was a great host, would stay again!

This was our second stay at the Smallfoot Farm. The hosts are lovely and helpful. The space is what we need and is very comfortable. Highly recommend and we'll be back!

There are few AirBnbs out there that are more beautifully decorated and well-stocked than Patricia and Frank's. There were goodies in the fridge and cupboards and toiletries galore in the bathroom. The bed linens were outstanding and the bath towels luxurious. This is a lovely spot to rest.

A+! Peaceful with a fantastic view across the Gorge and only 5 min to restaurants, brewery, and grocery store. Our hosts stocked the essentials (coffee, basic cooking foodstuffs, toiletries) so there was no need for a rushed shopping trip on arrival. Great information on everything to do in the area and friendly, responsive hosts. Will be our go to ABNB in the Gorge/Colombia River area when we come back.

What can I say? One of my favorite Airbnb’s. Start with the bed, bedding & linens. When you find TOP QUALITY furniture, beds, etc., you know you’re in a special place where the owner has pride. Patricia & Frank’s home has all the charm of an older house combined with stellar furnishings, cleanliness & coziness. The Dalles is right out of a Norman Rockwell painting on the banks of the Columbia River Gorge region, but a stone’s throw from gorgeous mountain scenery, waterfalls into majestic streams & rivers, and hiking trails. Pubs, wineries, coffee shops & restaurants are all within walking distance. Finally, Patricia’s artistic & creative talents are on display throughout the home’s decor. We will return!!!

A wonderful, newly remodeled, condo in government camp. The space was so darling, perfectly organized, and a great location to walk to restaurants. The closest ski in and ski out you can find on Mt Hood as well. One of the nicest Airbnbs we have stayed in. Thank you!!

We had a wonderful stay with Andrea and David! Davis was a very welcoming and helpful host. He and his children even brought out toys for my son to play with! (I'm sure playing on the patio and lawn were my son's favorite things about the trip!) Everything was spotlessly clean, but we also felt comfortable there with our toddler. Gorgeous view, beautiful property, location can't be beat! We'd love to stay here again.

Bridget and Joshua were AMAZING hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure my hunting trip was a success. I got to meet them and they are great people and I consider them friends. I can’t say enough good things about them. Air BnB will only allow me to give 5 stars but multiply it by 1000!

Great spot! Beautiful property that feels rustic but has modern technology (central heating/air, smart TV, plumbing, well functioning kitchen appliances). Neighbors are close by but it still felt secluded surrounded by the forest. Hot tub was the main reason we booked- couldn’t have lived up to the hype any better. Host Brad was super communicative ahead of check in and let us arrive quite early at no additional charge. Just a heads up that the bathrooms have some accessibility issues (downstairs toilet is quite cramped in a corner between a pedestal sink and the shower- the other bathroom/toilet is roomier but up a flight of beautiful but uneven log stairs with a partial handrail). We found this to be manageable for our needs but worth noting to anyone larger bodied or with mobility issues to double check whether it will work for yours. Hope to stay here again! Thanks Brad!

Stayed here with the family and had a great time. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend it.

Bearcat Lodge was perfect for a team retreat for my small nonprofit--it had spacious areas for us to gather but also room for people to get away for a little quiet or work time. The deck was sunny and gorgeous, and so was the living room om the main flood, with lots of blankets to get cozy in the evenings. It worked really well for us having the bedrooms spread across three floors, each with a bathroom on it. And we loved being able to walk into Government Camp to grab groceries or a quick meal.

Great location and a beautiful view. Even though there are a few cabins next door, it feels completely private. All the windows face a beautiful forested area and creek. The hot tub was wonderful and the house is clean.

Our group of 8 friends a great time staying at this cabin! Spent a nice weekend playing board games, using the hot tub, and walking around the area. My favorite part was the kitchen and the large dining table. Made every meal feel like a sit down restaurant. We would definitely stay again!

Such a lovely cabin in an amazing wooded area. Felt like we were staying at a friend's house. Everywhere we looked, there was something charming, or they had left amenities that weren't even on the listing. Mandy and Chad really embraced the magic of the area with the backyard decor and trinkets! Enjoyed the hot tub, the porch, and just wandering through the woods. That creek is already calling us to come back! Thank you for a lovely weekend!

Sara is a great host that helped us on a last minute trip. Best walkable location in government camp, great layout, and had everything we needed.

My favorite Airbnb stay to date (I’ve stayed at many). Immaculately clean, stunning design and it was so peaceful! I want to come back in the near future; one night wasn’t long enough. Highly recommend staying here for a PNW cabin experience.
