Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Hood River County

Just what we needed coming down from the mountain for new years! Thanks so much for the late checkout!

My family and I loved it! A calm and peaceful place for a getaway, especially for the holidays. Rob and Cindy were great hosts and gave us great recommendations, whether we stayed inside or explored Portland. Would definitely come again!

Great location and accommodations!!

We had a lovely stay - the unit is well stocked with everything you need. We were able to cook some basic meals, which is great as there's not much nearby. The view is lovely and is really what makes this place such an enjoyable spot. Hosts responded quickly when we had a question.

Elizabeth is a wonderful host who has thought of everything to make you feel comfortable. Place was clean, comfortable and she even provided breakfast items to get me off to a great start. Cute condo with easy access to hiking trails and other outdoor activities in Columbia River Gorge. Train and highway traffic noise was tolerable and offset by the view. I counted 10 bald eagles in the river just across the way.

We were elated to find Mike and Betsy's (reasonably priced!) piece of heaven for a weekend of solitude and appreciated their clear communications leading up to our arrival. Their recommendations for hiking, walking, pool, hot tub and restaurants were greatly appreciated, too – and the view from their condo's back porch is UH-mazing. The serenity of the location was just what we needed. 🙂 Anything and everything you need is in the kitchen, utility closet, bedrooms, bathrooms and living room – even nightlights in the bathrooms (thank goodness because I'd forgotten to pack ours) and we loved the coziness of the fireplace while we watched a movie. If you're looking for a quiet mountain getaway with ease of getting around and outstanding owners, this is your place!

Our family came to snowboard at Mt Hood and needed a warm place to stay. Eric’s place provided that. His place was spotless. Also, he had a binder full of information as far as where to eat, the bus schedules to Mt Hood, and nearby rentals for activities, which was very thoughtful and helpful.

This was a wonderful property for my family’s getaway, the hot tub was clean and the stars were so beautiful at night. The house was clean, spacious, and every bed was VERY COMFORTABLE! I will definitely be booking again, 10/10 would recommend. There were plenty of towels, board games, a smart tv with all the streaming services, there is a bonus room was fits a queen air mattress! (6 rooms total). The house was newly painted so it’s not yellow or red! But it was very easy to find, even without service!! The WiFi was strong , which was helpful because we didn’t have any service. There are walking trails to the river and the kitchen had lots of seasonings, dishes, cooking supplies. Not very responsive in the app after checkin, however very responsive on the emergency phone number posted at the cabin. There is a land line phone also! Thanks again Carol!
