We really enjoyed our stay and loved the Nishijin area as well. It was great to get to know a lively, historically important neighbourhood with so many great local businesses.

Nick and hiro are absolute legends, great place to stay in Hakuba.

An absolutely exquisite and warm place to stay. Definitely recommend to stay at least two nights to soak in the beautiful place you have for yourself with bath and traditional Japanese room. The cleanliness is also superb and the owner is very welcoming and lovely.

Nana has gone above and beyond to make my trip a really pleasant one! She invited me to an izakaya for her friend’s birthday - they were all lovely, she recommended different things to do in and out of the town, the first day I arrived there was a really heavy downpour and as she was 2 minutes drive away she came picked me up from the station, I felt right at home straight away, it has been probably the best place I have visited and stayed so far! I shall definitely come and stay again when I return to Japan in the future 10/10 5stars, her English is very very good and she has a very good taste in music too!

The friendly staff and the facilities, including the washing machine, dryer, and bathroom, were all satisfactory. There is a meal and bar on the first floor, so you can do a lot without having to leave here.

Great value for money. Very clean. Bathroom, toilet, and sink are all sufficient. It was full when we went, there were almost 20 people. The sound insulation is poor, so people who are very particular about their sleeping environment should be careful. Other than that, everything is fine!

I stayed one night and had a comfortable stay. The kitchen was easy to use and the cooking appliances were well equipped. There was no public bath, but it was helpful to be told about the day-use hot spring at a nearby hotel.

The Matoi hostel was a great place to stay, it isn’t too far from Gunma Soja station but they also provide a shuttle bus to get you to the hostel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave pretty good recommendations. The hostel itself has a bar on the ground floor of which we got given 4 free drinks tickets which was a greatly appreciated bonus. Thanks for the stay 😁

This might have been the best hostel I stayed at. Affordable, clean, quiet convenient and everyone who worked there, especially the owner Hilo, was really sweet. I'm definitely coming back and staying at Hilo Hostel again when I visit Nara.

The sunrise looked very beautiful from the farm view room.The guest house was well cleaned and I had a very comfortable stay.The owner was very kind, and he was kind enough to help us with check-in, which was very helpful.Next time, I'd like to come back in time so that I can enjoy a barbecue at the guest house!

The room matched the description/photo perfectly, I really enjoyed it. Full of amenities, the spaces were well maintained and clean and made you feel at home. Convenient location to visit Nara because it is within walking distance of major attractions and the station while maintaining a sheltered and quiet location away from tourist confusion and noise. Excellent breakfast service. Friendly and welcoming staff. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Stayed here for 4 nights in the female dormitory. I loved the place, surrounded by green fields, mountains and it was quiet and had a great weather to walk around. It was a bit far from the station (Omi-Maiko Station) like 15-20 minutes walk. There are not a lot to do around, but it was easy to take the train to Nara and Kyoto. I loved the hostel, it had everything I need. It has a restaurant in the first floor. They do sell snacks/food in the reception. I recommend staying here if you like the countryside vibes.

Very friendly staff and very welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and the terrace is awesome .

The host is very friendly and helpful.The inn is very hygienic, very convenient, and very close to the subway entrance.The only thing to note is to remember to get earplugs from the front desk before going to bed, as some guests may snore.

This is my 2nd time and it still feels homely as ever. Probably the best deal you’ll get if you want a room in Osaka. Everything is super clean and the staff are super friendly. Wifi worked well enough from my room so was able to work.
