Shepherds hut vacation rentals in Herefordshire

Carol and George’s Shepherd hut is a little piece of heaven. It is tucked away in a quiet place between fields and mountains with endless views and sunshine. We could hear nothing but the birdsong and cattle. The garden is private and has the most stunning sunset view. We could not have asked for a better break from the bustling city life. Carol and George gave us a warm welcome on arrival which was a sweet personal touch. We would definitely return!!

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

We have had the most wonderful and relaxing weekend in pippin. Getting to spend time in the orchard, meeting the lovely sheep, and enjoying the peace of the space has been amazing. Thank you Katie and Anna for creating such a magical retreat. Hope to be here again soon!

The stay was very much off the beaten track. It was perfect for a bolt hole while visiting Gloucester and Cheltenham. Probably around fifteen to twenty mins in the car to either. The hut is extremely well stocked with everything you would need, yet compact. Good weather helped as we could sit outside for much of our stay and BBQ. The separate shower hut was great. Lots of very hot water and the water supply at the hut was really useful. The animals were very friendly and a cute touch! We named them all in our own way. We had a very relaxing and memorable stay, giving two very best friends the calm setting we both needed to be off-grid and enjoy good food and wine in your beautiful orchard. The welcome pack too! We had the most peaceful and relaxing stay in your gorgeous Shepherd Huts. The perfect place to celebrate my sister-in-law's 60th birthday. Located in a beautiful orchard (homemade apple juice was delicious), the Shepherd Huts were equipped with everything we needed. Lovely touches like bunting, pretty flowers and marshmallows for the firepit added to our stay. Our hosts Anna and Katie were extremely helpful - answering any queries quickly and recommending local pubs for Sunday lunch! Loved meeting their array of farm animals too. Would definitely stay again and perfect location for RHS Malvern Spring Festival. Thank you so much for such a peaceful stay - we didn't want to leave xXx

Lovely place to spend a few days in peace in quiet. The hot tub was amazing and the hosts are very friendly. The hut is in close proximity to the Wye Valley, which is a great place to explore.

Amazing stay at Toms Hut, very tranquil and a truly relaxing experience away from the hustle and bustle, the amenities for cooking and the hot tub was a great addition. The scenic surroundings provided a perfect backdrop for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. Each morning, I enjoyed a peaceful cup of coffee on the deck while listening to the soothing sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves. In the evenings, soaking in the hot tub under the starlit sky was a memorable highlight, allowing me to melt away the stress of daily life. Overall, Toms Hut offers an ideal escape for anyone looking to recharge.

Had a fantastic stay at Stardust’s Shepherd hut. The location was tucked away and private but not miles from shops etc. The hot tub and pizza oven were a great touch. The pigs love the crusts which added to the experience! Would definitely stay again.

The Shepherd's Hut has everything you need for luxury camping! Lovely interior with dreamy touches such as sash windows, high-quality bedding, and enamelware. Well designed and clear handbook, and friendly and helpful hosts. We camped in style, cooked outdoors on the butane camping stove, provided, and roasted marshmallows (also provided) at night over the fire pit . It was also classy touch having your own WC and shower allotted to Shepherd's Hut. Fantastic location, 5 minute shuffle to a gravel beach on the banks of the River Wye, great for canoeists or just lazing around watching the swans.

just perfect ! The caravan is a bit weathered but just adds to its charm. When the sun shines it all comes together. I can understand winter might not work so well with solar panels and battery. It just makes you realax.... never moved the car in 3 days

Extraordinarily calm, peaceful and uplifting. Friendly communication and a warm welcome (despite delayed arrival time) and worthy enthusiasm for the accommodation in the woods. A really enjoyable time and place in every way.

We had the most gorgeous weekend staying at the Hut in the Orchard. We especially loved the two building set up which really connects you to the outdoors. Everything was beautiful - the cosy bedroom with an incredibly comfy bed, the fire pit for outdoor cooking and star gazing and the thoughtful welcome treats of cider and scrumptious apple cider cake! The view from the chairs any time of day but particularly when the evening sun trickles through the orchard canopy is something very special. Gary and Kate were the perfect hosts, so friendly and on hand for any queries but also leaving us to our own devices. There’s also a cracking pub just up the footpath with wood fired pizzas and a dangerous quantity of local ciders. The fact that you can wander through the local farm’s cider orchards is really unique and adds to the magic. We will most definitely be back!

I booked this stay for my boyfriend’s 30th and it did not disappoint! The hut was in the most gorgeous surroundings with fields and orchards and so in touch with nature as there were hedgehogs, rabbits running around and the owners animals that love to say hello! The hut was cosy, private and clean and perfect for a couple nights away! We used the hot tub, sauna and cold plunge. We had a couple problems with the hot tub but Mary was so helpful and responsive on the chat and helped as soon as she could which was very helpful! The wellness area made us feel so calm and zen which is what we wanted & would 100% recommend or go back again! The only tiny thing I would say is that the hand soap & washing up liquid wasn’t refilled very much but apart from that we adored our stay! ☺️

We had a lovely time in this unusual little corner of the world. Nick was there to greet us and show us around. He was kind, helpful and a perfect host, we felt extremely welcome. We loved the sauna and the hot tub, which does require some attention as it is reliaht on burning wood, however wood is provided. The place was clean and cute, very small but we spent most of pur time outside, which is ample and pleasant. Our dogs loved running around the grounds and were made welcome. The pool was a highlight, it's not for everyone but for a nature lover i was thrilled by the thriving colony of newts. We really loved our stay with Nick and we will certainly return. Recommend especially for a quiet get away, nature lovers, time away from ghe rat race. Thank you, Nick!

We had an amazing stay at Louise's place. it was so peaceful in lovely surroundings. We just wanted to relax for a few days without doing a great deal and it was an ideal place to do exactly that. The guide to the local area and amenities was especially helpful. slightly disappointed with the... weather! but only to be expected in the UK! still managed a dip in the pool which was superb!, tried a game of tennis and enjoyed the hottub. it really was a lovely stay, waking up to the ponies and wildlife was amazing too! would highly recommend Louise as a host

Adele was a fab host so friendly and informative, she went above and beyond as a marvellous host and great attention to detail. The hut was beautiful and immaculate and the river view was lovely, there is also a lovely pub about a mile away we had a lovely walk down there aswell. we went to a recommended place which was Symonds yat for a boat trip on the river wye was lovely and gorgeous a very beautiful place. We also enjoyed watching the stars from the hot tube. Highly recommend Thank you for a lovely couple of days to celebrate my partners birthday.

Booked Peter's shepherd's hut for a couple of nights away for my husband's birthday. We had a fantastic stay - best weekend away we've had I would say! The hut was immaculate and had everything we needed, Peter had thought of everything. Even had a lovely hamper on arrival, with a hand written welcome note. Peter had heated the hot tub ready for our arrival. Hot tub was super clean and had a lovely view. We used the fire pit to cook burgers on the first night and steak on the second night. We ate whilst looking out at the most spectacular views! Honestly cannot fault a thing about it. Thank you so much Peter, a truly wonderful time had :)

The shepherds rest was just perfect for our stay. It was so cosy and peaceful and was in such a beautiful area with plenty to do. Rachel was so helpful with providing local recommendations and there was also a very useful booklet upon arrival. I would highly recommend and honestly didn’t want to come home!!

Where to begin...Cleanliness is very important to me. The cultery draw was spotless and even kitchen sponge was brand new- Mark and Teresa looked after every bit! The bed is very spacious and so comfortable - we slept like babies every night. We enjoyed the pristine and beautful gardens with its views and painted together. Teresa and Mark are so kind and responsive - even giving us a bumch of goodies for our stay including my fav chocolates! They've thought about every detail to make the stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. AND the kitchen has everything you need! AND the shower is great 🥳 I can keep going!!!
