Book Airbnb for Work trips for employees

Once your company has joined Airbnb for Work, you can designate yourself as a business traveler and request reservations for your colleagues. We’ll send them an email inviting them to accept or deny the booking.

Travel admins or trip planners in your company can accept bookings for other employees.

What happens after you book a stay for a colleague

When you book a stay for someone else, you handle the reservation request, introductions, and payment—then transfer responsibility for the trip to the guest. Once a reservation is accepted, both you and the guest join the message thread with the host so you both receive all trip communications.

Booking for guests without an Airbnb profile

If you’re building a reservation for a guest who hasn’t created an Airbnb profile, you can still check out and pay. We’ll email the guest and guide them in both creating an Airbnb account and accepting your booking request. If you booked using a credit card, you may see a pre-authorization hold on your card while this process occurs. Once the reservation is confirmed, your payment method will be charged.

Invite a colleague to book travel for you

Trip planners can book business travel on your behalf using a company payment method.

First, be sure to add your work email address to your profile. When your colleague books for you, you’ll receive a notification about the requested reservation, which you can accept or deny.

Invite a travel booker on desktop

  1. Click Account
  2. Click Travel for work
  3. Next to Booking permissions, click Manage
  4. Under People who can book trips for you, click Add a travel booker
  5. Enter the email address of the person you'd like to invite, then click Send request

The person will receive an email invitation. When they accept your request, you'll receive an email confirmation.

  1. Click Account
  2. Click Travel for work
  3. Next to Booking permissions, click Manage
  4. Under People you can book trips for, click Add a traveler
  5. Enter the email address of the person you'd like to book travel for, then click Send request

The person will receive an email invitation. When they accept your request, you'll receive an email confirmation.
