Let’s just say the pictures really don’t justify how beautiful this home is !! Super clean & wonderful!! Also bigger than it looks. the property will blow your mind! pool, hot tub , & creek !! Definitely would stay again magnificent host .

Came back for spring break a year later and the place did not disappoint. Our family of five thinks of this home as our home away from home now. Highlights include pool, hot tub, easy walk/run to the gulf, easy bike to the downtown, quiet street, screened in porch for reading, clean and spacious interior. Couldn’t ask for more!!

Christopher's communication is helpful and superb! The Art House has a positive energy vibe with excellent Art selections. We spent a lot of time just looking at the Art and bonding. The outside is well-maintained! The Foutain in the back yard adds the special touch of sound and beauty. The location is safe and quiet. We enjoyed our stay more than words can describe in this tiny space.

I appreciate the owner as a host. very responsive and communicated promptly. there were a few minor things that got taken care of right away. the Cornhole game was fun. close to multiple things in Gulfport and surrounding areas. the check in was keyless which was very nice not having to worry about a key. depending on what are needs are for a next visit we would consider staying here again.

We had stayed at The Mermaid Cottage several times. It feels like our home away from home when we are there. The house is always clean and well taken care of. We love the short walk to the beach. We always look forward to staying at The Mermaid Cottage when we are in Mississippi. We hope to return soon.

Very quiet & close to the beach… will book again

We stayed there for a week during Thanksgiving while visiting family in the area. It’s a great location easy to get around. I loved being so close to the beach and boardwalk. The cottage was perfect for a cozy beach week in the winter. I’m sure the area is a very busy in the summer but there were several things walking distance and easy drives to make the location convenient during busy season. The cottage is dog friendly, which was a huge plus for us. We will definitely be looking to rebook next year when making our plans.

This cottage is so cute and cozy.....and so close to the beach! Bridgette is a great hostess. When we asked her if we could park our moving van there, she said it would be fine because we came during off season, and she even blocked off a spot for us. I love how the cabins are together with such a charming common area. The only downside was that you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other....or go outside and come around to the entry door. I wish we had been able to stay longer and enjoy the firepit and bikes and kayaks. Would love to come back another time!

Me and my wife needed a quiet weekend getaway and this place hit it out of the park! Very nice neighborhood, very friendly, everything was within a few blocks! Couldn’t ask for better weather or a more friendly environment! Will be back again here soon! A+ Communication

We had a great weekend getaway! My daughter and I liked that we could walk to restaurants and felt safe doing so. The cottage was perfect for us and in a really nice setting. Micky responded immediately to the only one question I had, and we are looking forward to a return visit!

This place was very comfortable and cute. We stayed for a month and had gotten used to the neighborhood and the closeness to the beach. They stocked the house with everything you’d need. We were able to go crabbing and to the beach. I would highly recommend.

My family had a great stay! This was a cozy home, decorated really cute, and had thoughtful shelves and laundry baskets for your items. Our kids LOVED the games especially the old school PacMan video game. We had endless play with the video games, ping pong, and foosball. We had four adults and two kids and it never felt cramped. We enjoyed the outside yard area and the screened patio the most. The beach was a quick walk (and wagon pull for the little one) down the street. I’m from the area and felt safe and secure in this cottage feel home. And for those reading the other reviews about the train noise, we heard it twice and each time it was well before dark. We barely even knew it was there!

Perfect little bungalow! They had all the amenities—name-brand coffee, tons of beach gear, kayaks, bikes, etc. Walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. Great scenery—beach out front and marsh out back.

I can't say enough about our stay. We felt right at home and the accommodations were superb. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants but nestled in a small quaint neighborhood. Access to the golf cart to breeze around town was an added bonus. If you are looking for a laid back, comfortable vacation, this is your Spot!!!

This was a very very nice trip and the cottage was absolutely amazing, nice and cozy and very warming. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that plans on going to Gulfport for a visit.
