Cara and Gene’s Cottage House is cozy and wonderful! It is well stocked with all of the essentials. The top level does get warmer but the provided fans cool it down and they double as white noise for bed time! All of the beds are super comfy too! It could be challenging for families with energetic little ones as there is not much of an outside space. But there is a park and lots to do within walking distance! Highly recommended and we would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this location in Oakmont! Kristy and Brad were very responsive and accommodating hosts, and had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The home is directly on the Allegheny River in Oakmont - walkable to the local park and bakery, with restaurants close by. A very easy jump into Pittsburgh (~20 minutes) makes this a great, quiet place to jump into adventures downtown. Highly recommended and definitely a place our family will look into returning on our next trip to Pittsburgh.

This is a lovely place to stay in the town of Oakmont. There are lots of restaurants, a fabulous bakery, and shops and bars in this area. There is free on-street parking. We were there for just one night while visiting family. This cozy rental is as pictured and described. The grounds and garden are lovely, the home is clean, it is in a peaceful area, and we felt very safe. Please note you will be above the home of the host so you will walk up stairs to the upper apartment. We were greeted by the hosts and felt so welcomed. The kitchen is well-stocked, the family room has a large tv and cozy seating, the windows have blinds for privacy, and the location is on a quiet street. We were provided with a helpful instruction booklet with lots of suggestions for the area. Communication with the host was super. Enjoy!
