Shepherds hut vacation rentals in Hampshire

Absolutely stunning location with views that could have been in the middle of Cornwall or France! We stayed here to be close to Old Sarum airfield for my husband’s skydive and it was only a 10 min drive. Fiona was really friendly and left us fresh eggs, homemade bread, jam, milk and orange juice which was wonderful touch. The hut had fantastic views from bed, with everything we needed. The swim spa / huge hot tub was perfect for sunset chilling. We would definitely return.

A fantastic place in a pretty, serene location where you can chill by the fire pit. The kids loved the hut and the amenities and brought them away from their devices and into the outside!

Thanks to Amanda for such a wonderful stay. We only stayed one night with our 8 year old daughter and dogs but it felt like a real break. Amanda is an amazing host, very warm and welcoming. Really loved the breakfast too. Thanks Amanda you are a star.

Exactly as advertised; very generous breakfast brought to the door of the hut by prior arrangement and at reasonable price. Bathroom hut basic but very decent shower with plenty of hot water and spotless.

Lovely and quiet location and and easy to get to everywhere on the island, kids loved the hot tub and bunk beds

The best site ever. We could enjoy unique hut with a bathtub and private space. The scenery of the hill from there was so nice. Our dog could be a good friend of sheep in the next field and excited for a wild rabbit was running through the field. Facilities are well maintained and clean, especially the wood stove inside worked well and nice. Thank you for the stay and see you again! We found a good Japanese restaurant 5 minutes drive from the site.

As a regular walker on the South Downs Way, I always look forward to staying at Pauline's Shepherd's Hut. The welcome is always friendly, the hut is always clean and tidy. Comfort is guaranteed. Highly recommended.

We had such a wonderful stay at Darren & Jax’s shepherds hut! It was incredibly cosy and we settled in straight away. We made the most of the beautiful weather with a BBQ in the sunshine, and it was so lovely to see our dog free to roam and make friends with the gorgeous resident dogs. The hut had everything we needed for a relaxing break, and the peaceful setting made it even more special. We’ll definitely be booking again, highly recommend!

We stayed for the weekend for my husband’s 40 birthday and what a weekend we had. There was 8 of us that stayed in total as we hired the Shepherd hut as well (great if someone wants their own space. The cabin was stunning so much bigger and spacious than I expected. We were all really comfortable and enjoyed long walks and family dinners around the big kitchen table. The cabin is in such a great location and only a 5 minute walk into a cute local village. Laura and her family have truly created something so beautiful and very special. We loved waking up every morning to the sights of the alpacas and lots of other wildlife. Laura and her team were always there if we needed them but we have complete privacy at the same time. The hot tub is in a private area and we loved using each night. My 4 year old had the best weekend running free and been able to feed her new furry friends. I truly highly recommend this stay. We can’t wait to book and return later in the year.

We had a great stay at the Shepard hut. With 2 people and 2 big dogs it was a bit too comfy inside the hut, but the garden was amazing and all safe and fenced off. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, the toilet and shower complex were very clean and Tanya and her husband were extremely friendly.

Fantastic stay at the Shepherd’s hut. Check in was simple, Tim came over and welcomed us. The space was all we wanted and more, set in a tranquil setting, surrounded by greenery. The accomodation had everything we needed, well kitted out and pleasantly decorated. Overall a fantastic stay in a fantastic location. Thanks Tim and Tilly!

We had a wonderful three nights in The Hut in the Forest. We explored the area, walked in local woodland and then enjoyed coming back to relax in the hot tub of an evening. The location was lovely and private yet with the amenities of being onsite with an independent brewery and having a vineyard, garden centre, cafe, farm shop and pub all within walking distance. The Hut was very clean, compact and comfortable. Tom and Lucy had anticipated guest needs well with a functional and equipped kitchen, books, games etc and a map for local walks. The added foodie extras were very generous and their beer is great. Highly recommended. Thank you Tom and Lucy. 😊

So peaceful. Perfect getaway. The lock on my hut was a bit of hassle to lock and unlock but overall, scenery, privacy, accessibility was amazing. Such a cozy, warm space. Great utilities. Pretty wildlife to watch in nearby field. Hot tub took a while to heat up but it’s so rewarding when you hop in. Overall, couldn’t recommend more.

We loved to stay at Emily's place, very cosy, peaceful and relaxing. Emily and her family are very approachable and friendly, for sure a place that we want repeat.

My husband mark and I had a wonderful stay at Emily’s shepherd’s hut. The beautiful view of the downs from the hut was amazing. Watching cows pass by, so peaceful. Very private. Fab location. Walked a few minutes through a beautiful field to reach The Fox Goes Free pub. Lovely place, nice food, lovely view of Downs from garden. Coffee at Hannah’s cafe in Singleton. Just minutes walk from the hut. Lovely coffee and yummy blackcurrant slice. The Partridge pub is in Singleton near Hannah’s. Wonderful old church in Singleton. The shepherds hut had all we needed. The hob was easy to use and we made nice scrambled eggs for breakfast using it. Emily kindly left some milk, butter and bread. Thanks Emily. Lovely comfy bed. Emily is lovely, friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again. Thanks Emily for the lovely stay and flexible check in and out times.

Really enjoyed my stay at this brilliant shepherds hut! It's super cosy, fully equipped with everything you might for a short stay, comfy bed (loves the night sky fairy lights inside), beautiful and quiet surroundings. Felt private, but safe. Matt was a great host.

Myself and my Husband stay here for 2 nights and had a lovely time. Victoria was there to meet us when we arrived and showed us around her amazing place. It has everything you need and also local pubs that do amazing food if you want to venture out. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Victoria :)

The Shepherds Hut is in a beautiful location, it allows a back to basic, back to nature experience, but providing enough amenities to make it comfortable and well appointed so you don’t have to rough it! James provides a unique experience at his accommodation and l would love to return

We had the best time ever at Lycia’s shepherd hut. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the Lycia and Michael who showed us to the hut and made sure we had everything we needed and more for our stay. The hut completely exceeded our expectations. The hand-built fire pit and BBQ were incredible touches and we spent our evenings sitting by the fire, looking up at the stars, such a peaceful and unforgettable experience. The hut itself was cosy, beautifully done and far better than we could have imagined. Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice! We’d recommend this shepherds to absolutely everyone. Thank you for an amazing stay Lycia and Michael, we’ll definitely be back!

We spent 3 fabulous nights in Holly’s Shepherds Hut to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The Hut is decorated very tastefully and modern and set in the most beautiful, peaceful setting. We loved lighting the fire pit each evening after a delicious meal at The Old Mill Pub which is a couple of minutes walk away. The location is perfect for visiting the nearby beaches and towns. Holly was a brilliant Host and we can’t wait to return!

Enjoyable stay in beautiful surroundings in the New Forest. Great to have the outside terrace to enjoy the sun. Would recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Louise’s charming shepherd’s hut. It was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is fantastic - just a short walk to beautiful Avon Beach and literally couldn’t be closer to amenities. Louise was a welcoming and helpful host, making everything super easy. The hut is right next to a road, so if you’re a light sleeper, that might be something to consider - but otherwise, I couldn’t fault it. A perfect spot for a getaway with the sea close by!

Absolutely brilliant spot for a cosy, peaceful stay. The shepards hut has everything you need and is very comfortable. Great pub is only a 15 min walk away too! Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet weekend retreat.
