Whether you’re looking to take advantage of all that the River Wye has to offer (Fishing, Canoeing, Paddle Boarding etc) or just want to relax in stunning countryside, this 4 bedroom, family and dog friendly cottage is perfect for you.

Enjoy stunning views from the raised outside dining area looking out across the Wye Valley or have a short stroll in to the village and have a meal at drink at the village pub. The ultimate place to relax, unwind and have some quality time with family & friends.

The space
The traditional cottage has a fully loaded kitchen, downstairs lounge with log burner and dining room that also has a sofa to curl up and relax on.

Upstairs are the four bedrooms including the en-suite master, which has stunning views across the valley.

To the rear is an elevated dining area that is situated on the valley sides with a beautiful decking area.

Parking for three cars is at the side of the house.

Away from the house, the property also has fishing rights for two pegs (including a fantastic easy access double peg) on the River Wye. One of these pegs (the single peg) is not maintained and often difficult to access, but does provide those that don’t mind wild fishing with some excellent Barbel and Chub sport. Details of these pegs can be provided upon request.

These are in addition to the incredible beats available from the Old Harp Fishery and the Wye & Usk Foundation and other private beats (available on day ticket) within the immediate area.

Please note; Access can be very difficult and unsafe at certain times of the year, depending on river and vegetation levels. There are multiple brilliant day ticket fisheries within 5 minutes drive also. These have easy access and offer outstanding Barbel and Chub fishing.

Please enquire about the fishing prior to booking if this is of interest to you. Ben is always happy to steer fellow anglers in the right direction.

Neighborhood highlights

Hoarwithy is a small village in the civil parish of Hentland, and on the River Wye in Herefordshire, England.
It is known for its church of St Catherine built in an Italian Romanesque style with detached campanile. The church, on a steep hillside above the village was built to a design by J. P. Seddon by William Poole, the wealthy Vicar of Hentland in the 1870s.

The village has one public house, the New Harp Inn, which is adjacent to the River Wye. The pub serves food and drink throughout the evening and is open most days.

Wye Canoe hire is also within walking distance from the house.
