Verse End is a detached property with enclosed private patio area situated in the owners spacious gardens, on the edge of the popular village of East Rudham. The accommodation is ideal for a couple or small family. (Access to bed 2 is via bed 1. The shower room is on the ground floor).
Situated in rural Norfolk the location is ideal for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers or those wishing to explore the Norfolk coast and the abundance of stately homes in the area including Sandringham.
The space
Verse End has its own private access via a path at the side of the owners garage. Guest parking for one car is available on the driveway to the front. Verse End has an enclosed private patio area with seating. The front door leads to the very spacious and well equipped kitchen/diner which has French doors to the owners garden and window with views over the wildlife pond and garden beyond. Internally, a door leads from the kitchen to the large lounge with brick fireplace and log burner, with a dog-legged staircase to the bedrooms. A lobby from the lounge gives access to a utility/laundry room and the shower room.
Upstairs is a double bedroom with door to the second bedroom with twin beds. The property is installed with full oil-fired central heating.

The property is detached and is wholly for the use of guests. There is an enclosed, private patio area for sole use of guests and they also have access to the owner’s gardens.

Neighborhood highlights
With so much to offer in the area, I really don’t know where to begin!
There are many nature reserves and it is a great area for bird watching, so don’t forget to pack your binoculars and cameras! There are reserves at Titchwell, Cley and Snettisham.
Ken Hill where Springwatch was filmed for several seasons is easily accessible with walks along the marsh to the beach.
Sculthorpe Moor, Hawk & Owl Trust reserve is only a couple of miles away; a great little reserve with an abundance of birds, and a new wetland.
Inland, NWT Roydon Common is a great place for walking and wildlife, as are the walks around Houghton Hall which are just down the road. Pensthorpe at Fakenham is also worth a visit. It has beautiful gardens, waterfowl, nature trails, a restaurant and an indoor play area for the children for those wet days!
The local beaches are incredibly beautiful. My favourite being Holkham where there is something for everyone. Holkham deer park surrounds the Hall, which is the family home of Lord and Lady Leicester. Seasonal tours of the hall are available, and there is a restaurant, shop, bike hire and childrens play area. Within the park. There is a beautiful beach which has been used as a backdrop for many a film, a renowned nature reserve, walks and pine woods. Despite the attractions it is somewhere where you can always get away from it all if you want to enjoy some peace and quiet!
The Royal Estate at Sandringham is also worth a visit, together with Blickling, Felbrigg and Oxborough Halls.
We are in a great location for countryside walks and cycling.
There are some good restaurants in the immediate local area including The Crown on the green in East Rudham, The Dukes head in West Rudham (Oriental restaurant & Takeaway), and the Dabbling Duck at Great Massingham.
Andy’s Stores, just a mile away on the A148 sells just about everything you might need and is open from 7am to 7pm everyday. There is Great Massingham village store and Post office just 4 miles away.
For a bigger shop there are all the usual supermarkets in the market towns of Fakenham, King’s Lynn and Swaffham.

I have lived in East Rudham since 1995, so am familiar with the local area. I just love exploring the Norfolk coast and countryside.
My passion is wildlife photography and my spare time is spent doing just that on the local farmland and nature reserves in the locality. My husband, Roger is a historian and writer. Our large garden keeps us busy in our spare time. We have a ginger cat, George; a ‘scaredy cat’ but a character!
