Kick back at Turtle's Nest, our cozy getaway with everything you need after a day of fun in the sun! Just a short walk to our beautiful beach with bath house, boardwalk, and gazebo from which to catch ahhh-mazing sunsets. The front porch is perfect for a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine during the sunset.

The space
* Queen bed, pull-out couch w memory foam mattress, kitchenette, two TVs with Roku.

* Please note: guests bring their own beach and bath towels and queen sheets. We provide freshly laundered blankets, comforters, pillows.

* Coffee maker, fridge, convection oven, microwave oven, induction cooktop, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, outdoor grills at picnic area by the pool.

* Our unit and the all of Pelican's Roost is a smoke-free community.

Guest access
Private, gated access to Pelican's Roost's pool and courtyard, with grills, picnic tables, pergola. Game room with pool and foosball and credit card-operated laundry room.

Other things to note
Please rinse off sand at faucet outside Rec Room. Guests are welcome to use our beach toys (please rinse and dry before bringing back in). We also have puzzles and board games.

Neighborhood highlights

Turtle's Nest at Atlantic Beach is perfectly situated between the Atlantic Ocean on one side and beautiful Bogue Sound on the other.

The Triple S Marina is just across the street and provides a great place to moor your watercraft, which you can use to boat across the sound to enjoy waterfront dining at award-winning restaurants in Morehead City or Beaufort.

A mile east at the eastern tip of Bogue Banks you'll find historic Fort Macon State Park, a fun-to-explore Civil War fort built in 1826 with guided tours and cannon and musket demos.

A mile west is the Oceanana pier, fabulous restaurants, including the famous Amos Mosquitos, Fort Macon State Park. Or try the Island Grille, a quaint, high-end surf-n-turf restaurant just another few minutes down the beach. Other restaurants and bars nearby include Tackle Box Tavern, Idle Hour Biergarten, Table 9, The Crab's Claw, and more, all less than 2 miles from The Roost. The NC Aquarium is 7 miles away, in nearby Pine Knoll Shores.

From our cozy condo, it's just a short walk to the beach access where you can fish, dolphin-watch, sunbathe, boat or pitch an umbrella and read.

Morehead City and historic Beaufort, the third oldest town in NC, are across the bridge, with fantastic restaurants, waterfront bars, live music, and seasonal festivals.
