The space
A chance to stay in a genuine 1850's fishermans cottage with loads of character benefiting from sea views, wood burner stove and a lovely private rear garden ( which is bisected and accessed using communal passage way)complete with BBQ and outside seating area with lighting for cosy nights inside or out.
Small front garden is enclosed.
The cottage can accommodate 4 guests suitable for couples and for a family with young children, 2 adults 2 children and infant using travel cot.
Stones throw from the beach ideal for family holidays by the sea (buckets and spades provided)
Very family friendly with child safety features including safety window locks, stair gate, travel cot, high chair available as well as baby bath for our toddler guests (as we only have a shower) please request these when booking.
Cottage has two bedrooms, one double at front of property, second to rear, which has child sized bunkbeds both rooms have sea views.
Lounge is cosy and comfortable with wood burner, to snuggle in front of, sofa, tv and DVD player, also table and chairs for dining.
Kitchen is well equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and ample utensils.
Wet room has walk in shower, WC and sink.
Bed linen provided please bring own towels.
** wood burner made up for your arrival and one basket of logs provided. More wood can be purchased from local garage or garden centre. (Winter months only)

**Please note stairs are very steep so young children should be supervised and not suitable for those with limited mobility.
**The beach is a few steps away from cottage please be advised that there is a slope to gain access to the beach
**Bunk beds in second bedroom are child sized suitable for children/teens not suitable for adults 6ft or over ( I am 6ft and cannot stretch out in them)

Please be aware garden is reached by a communal walk way with neighbours, the garden is generous, private and peaceful you can sit and listen to the sea or enjoy long summer evenings after a day on the beach.
To the front of cottage is small courtyard with seating to enjoy morning coffee and watch the day go by.

The cottage is a small traditional fisherman’s cottage and sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults 2 children with one in travel cot, we do not accept, groups or parties.

Neighborhood highlights

Scratby is a lovely seaside village with all the amenities you could need, we have some fantastic restaurants and pubs, grocery stores and a post office. We are only a short drive from the town of Great Yarmouth and about 20 miles from the historical city of Norwich. The Norfolk coastal route is a walk on our doorstep where you can walk either way along the beach to visit more seaside villages.
A visit to Horsey to see the seals is a must, the seal pup season is from the end of Nov - end of Feb where the beach is full of seal pups a really spectacular sight.
The Norfolk broads is another must, hire a boat to explore these splendid waterways.
National Trust stately homes at Blickling and Felbrigg are a 45 min drive away
