Room in a home

Your own room in a home, plus access to shared spaces.
A private room in Töst, a 3-story community co-living house next to a big brick converted church centrally located in the Neighborhood of the Arts, a stone's throw from Park Ave, the East End, Main St, and the Rochester Public Market.

The house is the residential element of a larger community vision called DUTCH, which is an ecosystem designed around all things relating to music. We're proud to provide our members with space to write, collaborate, rehearse, and perform their musical creations.

The space
During your stay at Töst, you can expect to see some of our 5 full-time housemates coming and going -- we're a friendly crew who are used to hosting guests and traveling artists, and we're happy to chat with you or give you privacy as you prefer.

The first floor of the house includes a shared open office/studio, a full living room, a half bath, and access to our private front porch. The second floor includes a private bunk room (where you'll be staying), a full bath, and the shared kitchen.

There is a monitored and lit parking lot located behind the adjacent converted church where you'll be able to park for the duration of your stay.

Guest access
The bunk room will be your private bedroom for the duration of your stay. Yes, private! The room is not shared with any other guests, only you and your party.

Guests will have full access to all shared spaces in the house (the living and dining room, work studio, bathrooms, kitchen, and front porch), as well as the Members' Lounge in the basement of the adjacent converted church.

We provide convenient keyless access to the house and the converted church.

During your stay
Töst is managed and operated by three people (Brad, Monika, and Janie), and we'll be glad to assist you throughout your visit. Please reach out via Airbnb messaging with any questions -- we all have the app installed on our phones and are eager to ensure that you have a great stay!

Other things to note
We do NOT operate as a hostel. If you rent this room, it's completely yours, whether you have 1 person or 6. We love hosting performers and bands, which is why we have all of the bunks 🙂

If you're a traveling musician or performer, please send us an inquiry ahead of your direct booking request to discuss a special discounted rate.

We maintain a gluten-free kitchen due to allergies. While guests are welcome to use the kitchen, we ask that you please plan your meals accordingly.
