Escape to Timberhawk in Birchwood, WI where you will be in the heart of Wisconsin's legendary lake country - known as the "Bluegill Capital of Wisconsin"! Guests will be minutes from fishing, boating, ATV - snowmobile - hiking trails, ski resorts, hunting land, golfing, bars, restaurants, shopping, sight-seeing, and small town charm. Timberhawk is your base camp for all of it, every season of the year!
Tucked away in a private, tree-lined setting, this home is a thoughtfully renovated retreat that checks so many boxes. Surrounded by towering pines and mature hardwoods, you’ll enter this property under the Timberhawk sign and 12’ entryway. This spacious 2000+ sq ft home sleeps up to 8 guests across 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms - offering the perfect blend of seclusion, comfort, and modern amenities. Step inside and feel the difference a top to bottom renovation makes. The open, well-appointed interior is designed for groups who want room to breathe - whether you're gathered around the kitchen table for a family meal, unwinding after a long day on the water, or settling in for a movie night.
The outdoor setup at Timberhawk is genuinely impressive. An oversized deck with a dining table and seating for eight is the perfect place to start your mornings with coffee among the pines or end your evenings under a canopy of stars. Fire up the gas grill for an effortless cookout, then migrate to the dedicated fire pit patio area for s'mores and storytelling. The covered pavilion adds a bonus outdoor entertaining space - ideal for larger gatherings, rain or shine (this area is still a work in progress - updates coming soon)! Currently you’ll find an oversized picnic table in the pavilion along with a fun set of corn hole boards and bags! Near the base of the flared deck stairs, guests will find a secluded picnic area with a 6 person custom-built table for an extra place to gather among the trees! And exclusively to Timberhawk guests - we have a 2900 psi ATV power wash station located on the right side of the home just past the entry porch area. Perfect for rinsing off that trail dust, mud, and all of the ATV debris from your Wisconsin trail adventures! Note: guests must provide their own soap and towels.
The bonus 24' by 32' pole barn is a true game changer! With over 750 sq ft of indoor storage, this is one of the many amenities that sets Timberhawk apart from the rest! A spacious and well lit area on our private property gives your group dedicated storage and shelter for all your gear - UTV's, boats, snowmobiles, extra vehicles, trailers, and more! It has power and a work bench inside - in case you need to do a little repair to your “toys”. We are riders - just like you! We know how important it is to have a dedicated place to keep machines in an indoor, dry, and secure area. Arrive loaded up and stay organized during your entire trip!
Step into the Timberhawk home through the impressive custom stained glass and wooden front door! Here you will find the entryway open concept closet with plenty of hangers and hooks for your outdoor gear. Then make your way up seven steps to the main living room, kitchen, and primary bedroom/bathroom areas - or follow seven steps down to the lower level where you'll find three additional bedrooms, a full bathroom, and laundry facilities.
On the main level, the kitchen is fully stocked with all new appliances and everything you need to cook and gather with ease. Enjoy a Keurig and Mr. Coffee maker, plus plenty of cookware, dishes, and fun extra supplies located in the guest pantry closet. The dining area seats six with additional seating at the kitchen island making it easy for everyone to enjoy meals together.
The main living room features a mini-split A/C and Heating unit for guests comfort regardless of the season. It has many windows offering amazing views of the surrounding landscape and provides the ultimate privacy and seclusion during your stay. The living room is outfitted with a sectional sofa, two barrel chairs, side tables and lamps, and a dedicated workspace that makes working remote easy (if you must)! Additionally, there is a 55" TCL Roku TV for streaming on our FREE high-speed Wi-Fi!
Timberhawk features a stunning floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace that serves as a beautiful focal point in the living area. For guest safety, the fireplace is not available for use at this time. We appreciate your understanding and invite you to enjoy the cozy atmosphere it brings to the living room.
Access to the outdoor oversized deck can be made from the two slider doors in the kitchen/living room areas and a slider door from the primary (Tree Themed) bedroom. Once outside, you will find a dining table with seating for eight. Fire up the seasonal gas grill or use the deck stairs to access the large fire pit area with eight Adirondack chairs for s'mores and unforgettable evenings. Located in the deck box, you will find three outdoor hanging chairs, a hammock, and blankets to use around the fire pit for your relaxation enjoyment! Hooks for the hanging chairs can be found along the deck underside and hooks for the hammock are in the tree outside of the pavilion. Timberhawk offers convenient access just off Wisconsin 48, making it easy to explore Birchwood and the surrounding lake country. While the property is nestled among the trees, guests may hear periodic road noise from passing traffic.
Back inside, the upper level loft game room is accessed via a shipman's ladder. This ladder is steep so we ask you to use caution when ascending or descending the space. Our dedicated game room offers an arcade game, oversized "chill" chair with ottoman, several board games, playing cards, an adjustable pub style table and stools, and more!
The primary bedroom - we call the Tree Room - is just off of the main living area. It provides a king sized bed with cozy linens and pillows, two nightstands with charging stations, luggage racks, and space to hang or store your personal belongings. There is also a 55" TCL Roku TV for streaming on our FREE high speed Wi-Fi! You can enjoy the outdoor deck from the sliding glass door as well. This room is also outfitted with a mini-split A/C and Heating unit for the guests ultimate comfort for all seasons.
Just across the hallway from the Tree Room, you'll find the main floor bathroom. It is cozy in size but thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay - oversized walk-in shower, toilet, convenient storage, and fresh towels for primary guests. While the countertop space is limited, the bathroom is clean, functional, and designed to make the most of every inch.
Once in the lower level of Timberhawk, you'll find three additional bedrooms with their own unique themes. The Deer Room offers two twin beds, the Bear Room offers a king sized bed, and the Fish Room offers a queen sized bed. All come furnished with comfortable bed linens and pillows, extra blankets, and areas to hang and store your personal belongings. The Bear and Fish rooms also have nightstands with dedicated charging stations.
Serving the three lower level bedrooms, the full bathroom offers a convenient and comfortable space for guests to start or end their day. Complete with a tub/shower combo, vanity, and plenty of fresh towels, it's thoughtfully equipped with the essentials for a relaxing stay. Its central lower level location makes it easy for everyone to access while maintaining the comfort and privacy of their own bedroom.
You will also find several bonus amenities in the lower level! Book lovers will enjoy our Lending Library, where you're welcome to take a book, leave a book, and share the joy of reading with future guests. You'll also find a convenient beverage station featuring a mini coffee bar and beverage refrigerator - perfect for stocking your favorite drinks and keeping refreshments close at hand during your stay. For added convenience, a washer and dryer are available for guest use for FREE, along with complimentary laundry pods and dryer sheets. An iron and ironing board are also provided.
Parking easily accommodates at least four vehicles (depending on their size) and trailers within our private driveway areas. Additional parking and trailer/toy storage can be found inside of our private 24’ x 32’ pole barn. Please note the main garage is not accessible to guests at this time.
To keep Timberhawk beautiful and comfortable, routine grounds maintenance and seasonal pest control services are scheduled throughout the year. While we try to avoid services during guest stays, delays due to weather can occasionally require brief visits while guests are present. These quick outdoor services help ensure a pleasant, well maintained getaway for you to enjoy! There is a red trash receptacle located on the property and it should remain in its current location throughout your stay. Walczak Sanitation services the container every Monday and will enter the driveway to collect the trash. To help ensure a timely pickup, please keep the receptacle accessible and avoid parking vehicles, trailers, or other items that blocks access. Thanks for your cooperation!
Timberhawk is a welcoming retreat for guests of all ages, though child-specific items (cribs, high chairs, safety locks, etc) are not provided - please bring what your family may need. And although our home isn't close to our neighbors, they are still in the vicinity and we kindly ask guests to keep noise at respectful levels. This will help us preserve our special place for everyone to enjoy.
Our vacation home is nestled among towering trees and surrounded by nature, so sharing the outdoors with local wildlife is simply part of the experience. Depending on the season, you may encounter mosquitoes, flies, spiders, insects, squirrels, deer, birds, and other woodland visitors. If you plan to relax on the deck, gather around the fire pit, or explore the property, we recommend bringing bug spray and dressing appropriately for the season. Please remember that this is their home - we're just lucky enough to visit! We do our best to keep the home clean and well-maintained, but occasional insects or spiders may still find their way indoors, especially when doors are left open. We appreciate your understanding as you enjoy the beauty of Wisconsin's great Northwoods.

Guest access
Guests will enjoy full access to the entire home, bonus pole barn, and entertainment pavilion at Timberhawk, with the exception of an in-home owners closet and utility room. The setting is quiet, private, and peaceful. The main garage is not accessible to guests at this time.
The entrance to Timberhawk is immediately off of State Highway 48 in Birchwood, WI. Guests will enter the property under an arch which proudly displays our Timberhawk sign - the clearance height is 12 ft.
Wildlife and insects are part of the natural setting, so we recommend bringing sunscreen and bug repellent to stay comfortable while enjoying the outdoors.

*The gas grill may be stored and not available.
*In case of snow, the outdoor deck is not shoveled. A shovel will be provided for your use. The front path to the home will be shoveled prior to your arrival.
