The Chiggypig is a recently converted detached annex situated in the grounds of our Victorian home. It was previously an old coach house which has been completely renovated into a contemporary living space. Its elevated position offers views across to Appledore and Hartland.
Decorated to a high spec, it is designed and suitable for couples or a single person looking for a peaceful break away on this gorgeous North Devon coastline.

The space
Situated close to the village centre - just a few minutes walk to the restaurants, bars and shops of Braunton. The stunning surf beaches of Saunton and Croyde are only a few minutes drive, as is the championship golf course at Saunton. We are also close to the Ash Barton estate if you are attending a wedding or function there. The Chiggypig is a lovely escape for adults. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate infants or children.
The property consists of a fully equipped modern kitchen/dining area with far reaching views. Cosy lounge with snuggly sofa, freeview TV and woodburning stove. Contemporary designed double bedroom with luxury linen bedding, remote contolled velux blind and window so you can lie in bed and watch the stars.
Clothes storage (wardrobe and drawers) available in the lounge area.
A modern bathroom featuring a superb shower and fluffy towels. The Chiggypig has been decorated using classic design with unique finishes.
Outside guests can relax on their own large decked private terrace with pergola and comfortable seating. A warm water outdoor rain shower is available for washing off wetsuits and sandy toes. Surfboard and golf club storage is available on request. The property is reached by a separate entrance through our garden and several steps so it is not recommended for anyone with mobility problems. We live in the main house so are available if required but respect our guests privacy. We have a friendly family dog who may wish to come and say hello in the garden if he sees you.
There is off street parking available for one vehicle. If you will be bringing two vehicles, we can accommodate with prior notice.
If you have a reason to celebrate, we can assist you with making the occasion extra special and can organise flowers, champagne, chocolates or cake on arrival at an additional cost.
We adore the Chiggypig as its part of our home- its been our labour of love and we hope you love it as much as us.

Guest access
The guesthouse is for your use with the decked area outside. Access is through our main garden. At times you may see us relaxing in the garden enjoying the good weather, carrying out house maintenance or gardening. Please feel free to have a chat if you like. Our dog Eddy will no doubt wish to say hello to you. Please note the entrance in to The Chiggypig is slightly lower than the average door height so those of you slightly taller may have to watch you head. However, once your inside, there is plenty of room with high ceilings.

Other things to note
Local eateries get very booked up and busy in the summer months so book ahead if you can. I will send you some information a few weeks before your arrival.

I was lucky enough to grow up in Braunton. Like most I flew the nest for the bright lights of the big city only to return 20 years later when I had a family of my own. My husband Carl and I have a passion for travel and get away as often as we can. I love living in North Devon and you can’t beat living by the sea.
