Room in a home

Your own room in a home, plus access to shared spaces.
Some info has been automatically translated.
This home is located in the middle of the mountain with Uchi Hachiman Shrine, surrounded by majestic mountains and a bay shining in Setouchi blue.

Limited to one group per day in January 2026, available for private rent for one person.

The rooms are
"Large room" with two rooms on the sea side and on the mountain side.
"Chubuya", a Western-style room that became the location of the movie "Road to the Seaside"
Four and a half tatami mats "small room" on the mountain side
There are 3 rooms, and you can rent the entire place for up to 10-12 people.

Downstairs, there are theaters "Theater Ark", "bar Myoon", and the gallery "Atelier Tatin" in the separate building, which is called "shodoshima open Kai".

This inn is popular for its unique atmosphere, and was the location for the music video for the rock band kobore's "Umi made" and the movie "Road to the Beach", which was released nationwide on August 29.

It is widely used for Yamaloku Soy Sauce Wooden Barrel Summit, YOKAI EXPO, Mameichi (cycling around Shodoshima Island), pilgrimages, fishing, mountain climbing, haiku meetings, etc.

This is a bnb (private lodging) type accommodation where the caretaker lives on the second floor.

* Breakfast is not served.

The space
You can use 2 rooms, one on the sea side and one on the mountain side.
Room 1 + Room 2 in the floor plan.
It is quiet at night and is popular as an "inn for heavy sleepers".

[Facilities]
There are 2 bicycles (not electric) that can be used free of charge, a wide balcony with a view of the sea under the window, a dining kitchen (two-burner stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, rice cooker, coffee, tea, seasonings, cookware), toilet (flush), washroom (hair dryer, toothpaste), dressing room (washing machine, laundry detergent), bathroom (soap, shampoo, conditioner), towels (large face towels), sheets, pillow covers, futons, quilts.

Guest access
The second floor is the manager's living space, so you won't be able to enter.

During your stay
The manager lives on the second floor. Please let me know if you need anything.

Other things to note
The house is located in the middle of a mountain, so you will need to climb a gentle slope or 80 steps to the entrance. It's honestly difficult with large luggage (we can help). Please note that it gets dark at night. The view is good and quiet.

Please manage your valuables on your own.
