"Think of a mountain house that is well-appointed with everything you could need to spend time getting away from the city. This place not only fits the bill, it sets a standard." - Sue's Serenity Stay Guest

Our charming, rustic chalet is nestled in a private development, minutes from Stratton Village & Manchester. This beautiful area of VT offers more than just a skiers paradise. The majesty of the woods, rivers, & mountains surrounding them create a tranquil environment for guests to enjoy.

The space
The Guest Guide Book provides our house rules and will take you through all of the secrets of unplugging, while leaving the excitement of discovering your own adventures in Vermont. Please follow us on IG @SuesSerenityStay to see more photos and local places to check out during your stay here. Accommodation rates for our listing are powered by PriceLabs.

First, we are dog people. We will need to know the number and age(s) of your dogs and some details about them during booking. Since we are a dog friendly rental, please keep this in mind when you are booking in case anyone in your group has a dog allergy. Please make sure your dogs are well-behaved, house broken, and are kept from going upstairs to the second floor. Please try to keep your dogs off of the furniture and the beds. If you believe your dog may get anxious during their stay, we recommend bringing a crate for when you are out and about. Please keep your pets on a leash at all times while on the property and please make sure to clean up after them.

The whole house opens right up as you enter. The vaulted ceilings and brick fireplace are the backdrop to the living room and kitchen area. Warm cedar and exposed beams create that "middle of the woods” feel. Our gathering space has an HD, flat-screen TV in front of a big comfy sectional. Play one of our many board games or watch a movie after a long day of skiing or hiking.

The deck has an outdoor table with an umbrella and bistro lighting for relaxing outside. There are also two zero gravity rocking chairs. Off of the deck is our fire pit area with six Adirondack chairs. Fire safety is paramount during your stay here. The instructions for use of both the fire pit and fireplace are in our Guest Guide Book.

The kitchen has all the appliances and cookware you'll need for your stay. The community-style kitchen table is perfect for dinner, drinks, games, and conversation. Our Marshall bluetooth speaker provides incredible sound and makes it easy to link your devices. Please do not remove the speaker from the table and bring it outdoors.

Please note, our home does NOT have air conditioning. If you are booking a stay with us, you will have been asked to review our listing thoroughly, to include these house and amenities details. The home has never had air conditioning since it was built and will not have it in the future. We provide fans in each room and have a ceiling fan in the living room. There is no AC at our home.

On the first floor, the primary room has a queen bed and the home office has a desk and a full futon. The first floor bathroom features a standup shower. We do have a stackable W/D right next to the first floor bathroom. On the second floor, the bedroom farthest to the left, has two twin beds. The bedroom next door has a queen bed and a trundle bed underneath (listed in the bedroom section as a "floor mattress"). The second floor bathroom has a tub and shower with detachable head.

Sue’s Serenity Stay and it's hosts are not responsible for any damages or personal injuries to renter(s), their guest(s), their families, and/or their vehicle(s), resulting from cars becoming stuck or going off the driveway/roads, nor any accidental slips or falls outside on the property, respectively. Renter(s) are responsible for their children, their guest(s), and their dog(s) safety on our property and adherence to the House Rules in the home, at all times. By booking a reservation with us and staying in our home, you are agreeing to this waiver and release of liability.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire home while you're here. We live in a private development. There are parking for several vehicles. Please review all the house rules thoroughly and the Guest Guide Book.

Other things to note
- We expect our guests booking the home for their stay to be fully transparent about their intentions and the number of people coinciding with their reservation. This is one of the main reasons the exterior of our property are actively monitored by Ring devices so we can verify the number of guests coming and going at all times. Six guests, including children, is our maximum occupancy. We only allow dogs, no other pets or animals allowed.

- Sues Serenity Stay is NOT a party or event home for those purposes. We advise you to take this into serious consideration when booking so awkward or negative interactions are avoided. This is another reason our home is actively monitored by Ring.

- We do welcome all families with children of all ages. Be advised, our home is not completely baby/child-proofed. Please inquire with any concerns.

- Please keep in mind you are renting a private home and not a hotel room. Our caretaker's contact information will be listed in the Guest Guide Book in case you need them. While we are confident we will address any and all potential issues in a timely manner, we do not provide 24/7 repair/maintenance service.

- Please be aware, we do not have a landline in the home, you will have to use your cell phones. There is excellent reception in our area.
