Lovingly renovated to a very high standard, parking for 2 vehicles and with use of a shared EV charger.
Large 50m2 well equipped chef’s kitchen, secluded and south facing private garden, pizza oven, hot outside shower, babbling brooke at the end of garden, eggs on tap.
The space
Stable cottage was the original farmhouse of the centuries old farm complex known as Lower Trewince Farm .
Once the property was outgrown, a new farmhouse was built and ours became the horse stables - Stable cottage.
Stable Cottage is 1 of 5 lovingly restored properties in the quiet and secluded hamlet in the beautiful Porth Valley. This spacious, unique, country and North coastal retreat is conveniently situated a stones throw from Watergate Bay, Whipsiderry and Porth (5 mins drive) with Mawgan porth only a couple more miles away (Less than 10 mins drive). These outstanding beaches are also a spectacular, coastal walk if you prefer :)
Dog friendly, enclosed private garden, large and very well equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms:
Bed 1 = king
Bed 2 = 1x double & 1x single
Bed 3 (aka the family room) 2x king
2 bathrooms & a hot outdoor shower.
Large lounge with wood burner, large kitchen and dining area opening out onto outdoor cooking area with pizza oven and bbq facilities.
There’s also the use of an EV charging point.
Stable Cottage needed renovation and as a highly decorated tradesman, I was fit for the challenge.
Stable Cottage has undergone a complete and loving transformation and we have doubled the size of the original building. It is now a stylish, clean, warm, sharp, sustainable and efficient property, conveniently situated next to Watergate Bay, Newquay and Newquay airport.
It makes the most of its South and West facing elevations that bathe in sunshine from sunrise to sunset, without a shadow being cast by neighbouring buildings.
Stable Cottage is placed at the front of the properties in the tranquil hamlet, giving you uninterrupted views of the surroundings and countryside.
Enjoy your breakfast or create your dinner in our 50m2 south facing chefs kitchen, boasting a professional double induction oven in a beautifully designed kitchen or go alfresco and use the Fuego wood fired oven, Weber smoker or Weber BBQ.. pick your favourite weapon and get your cook on!
Or, take a journey down through the garden with a freshly made bean to cup coffee, glass of wine or a beer and pick a spot to sit and listen to the wildlife accompanied by the sound of the stream at the end of the garden, or just enjoy watching the horses at the end of the garden in the field opposite.
Relax and unwind in our secluded, hot outdoor shower to wake up, or wash off the sea salt after a sea swim or surf.
The property also comes equipped with a vegetable garden and greenhouse that may have produce ready to pick and eat and a henhouse with fresh eggs.
The water comes from our own water supply, 50m below your feet and tastes beautifully fresh, clean and Cornish :).
There’s also shared usage of a Zappi EV charger with our neighbouring property Bullpen Cottage.
If you have children or dogs please be mindful of the stream at the end of the garden. Safety precautions have been put in place for safety.

Our property is nestled in a valley so whilst you feel away from it all in the countryside, you are still only 5 mins drive/ 1.5 miles away from some amazing, local beaches and coast walks.
