This home is perfect for responsible, easy-going guests who LOVE the mountain cabin life, are traveling with friends or family and are considerate of our neighbors!
Here’s what you will be getting:
• Skylight Chalet is a 3-level home (there are two flights of stairs inside the home)
• 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms
• Check-in is at 4pm; Check-out is at 10am.
• 3 rooms each have 1 Queen size bed with brand new mattresses. The 4th bedroom has: 2 Twin size beds
• Our home can comfortably sleep 8 adult persons. Please inquire first if you want to bring up to 10 people.
Max # of cars allowed in the driveway is 5 cars.
• Linens and towels are provided.
• 2 of the bedrooms have a Flat screen TV with ROKU (online streaming direct to your TV). Bring your own Netflix, Hulu etc. accounts!
• High speed internet (200mbps/download).
• Our bathroom has all the necessities; shower, sink, and toilet. We provide fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap.
• Keurig coffee, drip coffee and tea available in the kitchen :) Nespresso machine is available also.
• Kitchen includes pots and pans, bakeware, silverware, instant pot, tiny waffle maker, blender, toaster oven/air fryer. This is our home so we leave some dry ingredients in our cabinet, please help yourself if needed.
• Laundry machine & dryer is TINY but available for use.
• There is NO central air conditioning (A/C), like many older Big Bear homes.
• Central heating available in the house with a Nest thermostat.
• ANIMAL POLICY: We can consider house trained, well behaved animals that will be crated when they are not supervised. There is a $65 (one time fee) per animal. Please refer to #15 in our house rules for our detailed Animal Policy.
• We welcome anyone who is respectful of our home and house rules. Please note there has been no baby/child-proofing in the home. You are responsible for looking after your little ones while inside and outside of the property.

• ALSO PLEASE NOTE: *** The maximum guests allowed are 10 people, and all guests must be disclosed before coming to stay at our home.
**You will be asked to sign a rental agreement and provide a copy of your photo ID immediately after booking is confirmed and prior to check-in. We may ask for a $500 security deposit.
NO UNREGISTERED GUESTS without prior permission, even if they are just stopping by for 5 minutes.
Any unregistered guests seen on the property will be charged a minimum fee of $200 per person per night, and possibly result in eviction.
No gatherings, events, drugs, illegal activity, loud music, events, or outside guests allowed.
For your safety, we have audio/video surveillance outside at the front entrances, deck, bridge, backyard emergency exits - to ensure you are safe during your stay.
Those who do not follow these rules will be reported to Airbnb for an extra charge out of your deposit or eviction with no refund.

Guests can access the entire home EXCEPT the exterior stairs and backyard hill (for your safety). The exterior stairs are used as an emergency exit only.
Other things to note
Friendly note - Please exercise caution on our unique horseshoe shaped driveway!
Often in Big Bear, it can snow multiple times throughout your stay.
Please note you are responsible for shoveling during your stay - we highly recommend shoveling the driveway during your stay in order to leave safely.
On snow days, we arrange with local companies to plow the driveway one time (1x) prior to your arrival. However, snow days often cause unforeseen delays. Please read on in our "House Rules" for more information.
We do not shovel the deck, but you’re welcome to do so if desired.
OPTIONAL: We are happy to try & locate a local person who can shovel/plow the driveway during your stay - snow shovel fee is $90-200 (subject to change based on availability and pricing). You can pay the vendor directly.
Please let us know if you are interested in having someone else shovel the driveway for you so you can enjoy more time with your guests. We would need at least a 3 hour minimum heads up to try and locate someone.
