Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Your own private converted bus — plunge pool, 180° valley views, and total silence except the birds. No neighbors in sight, no shared walls, just you and the jungle. Enjoy a queen bed, full kitchen, rain shower, Wi-Fi, and a handcrafted Guanacaste desk. Located in peaceful Tierras Morenas, just 20 min from Lake Arenal. Perfect for couples or solo travelers seeking nature, comfort, and a unique experience.

The space
🌄 Wake up inside a beautifully designed tiny home that used to be a school bus. Step outside directly into your private plunge pool terrace — panoramic valley views stretching to the horizon, birds doing their thing, and absolutely nobody else in sight. Designed by the host — an industrial designer trained in New York and Italy — every detail is intentional. Yes, even that desk.

🛌 **Sleep & Relax**
Queen bed with hotel-grade linens facing the jungle. Hand-crafted Guanacaste hardwood desk — perfect for remote work, morning coffee, or just looking incredibly productive while staring at mountains.

🍳 **Kitchen**
Full kitchen: induction stove, fridge, French press. Local Costa Rican coffee included. Craving a real breakfast? Fresh yogurt, eggs & bagels available to purchase on-site — made locally, dangerously good.

🚿 **Bathroom**
Rain shower, hot water, fluffy towels. Forgot your toothbrush? We've got you.

🌊 **Outdoors**
Private plunge pool with night lighting — midnight swim? Absolutely. Furnished sunrise deck with 180° valley panorama. Total privacy — no neighbors visible from the property. Not one.

📍 **Location**
Tierras Morenas, Guanacaste — 20 min to Lake Arenal, 1.5 hrs to Río Celeste. Fully paved road, parking for 3–4 cars.

💻 **Digital nomads**
Fibre Wi-Fi 50 Mbps + dedicated workspace. Guests regularly work remotely from here. The views don't hurt productivity. Much.

🍺 **Little extras**
Mini-bar with local craft beer, snacks, and handmade items — all pay-as-you-go. No pressure, just convenience.

⚠️ **Heads up**
Adults only — plunge pool depth and bus stairs make it unsuitable for children or pets. The host's woodshop is nearby; you may occasionally hear light daytime activity. It's kept minimal and the buses are well insulated.

🚌 **There are three buses on this hillside — each one private, each one different.**
Bus 2 and Bus 3 have plunge pools. Bus 1 has a gorgeous outdoor breakfast deck, fits 3, and comes in a little cheaper. Book all three and you've got space for 7 people and the best group trip of your year.

Other things to note
🌿 A few things worth knowing
This place is remote — and that's the whole point. There are a handful of restaurants within 10–20 minutes and a basic grocery store 5 km away, so we recommend stocking up before you arrive and settling in for the kind of stillness that's hard to find anywhere else.
You're in the middle of a valley, surrounded by nature. That means the occasional bug may come to say hello. They're harmless, curious, and honestly just jealous of your view. We have screens on all openings and bug spray provided — you're covered.
This is Costa Rica in its truest form. Lean into it. 🦋

Born in the 80s
My work: Bernardo Urbina Design - Designer and Founder
I was born and raised in Costa Rica. I moved to New York for University where I graduated from Pratt Institute with a degree in Industrial Design. I worked designing high end custom made furniture in Soho NYC. I then moved to Italy to get my masters degree in Industrial design for Architecture . After 3 years living in Philippines and 10 years abroad I relocated to Sabalito de Tierras Morenas, Guanacaste Costa Rica, where my family owns a dairy farm. It is here where I set up my own high end furniture line Bernardo Urbina Design. I see myself as a relaxed, chill drama free person who like to enjoy life. I treat others as I want to be treated. If you have any more questions about me please let me know. cheers.
