Vacation rentals in Guatuso

This is a magical garden on top of a hill. It was mostly cloudy and rainy when we were there, but very charming when the sun comes out. The garden is mindfully designed, and it’s very nice to walk around. The pond is much bigger than in the picture. You’ll see all sort of birds even Toucans if lucky. The host lives on the other side of the pond. The suite itself is small but functional and fine for short stay. Expect a low water pressure as in many places in CR. Margi was a great host, she is very nice and helpful with everything we needed. Consider yourself a lucky person if Margi is your host. If you are going for Lago Cote, the house is conveniently located on the head of the road to the lake. It’s an hour walk or quick drive if you got a 4WD.

Brad’s place was as advertised. Spacious , clean, and on a beautiful acreage. It was a great place to relax and refuel after seeing the beautiful places Costa Rica has to offer!

Even though 2/4 of our group was unable to come to this visit, we are so glad we had to keep the reservation because it was such an incredible place. It was blowing our minds driving onto the perfectly gardened & landscaped property with tons of gorgeous tropical plants. then when we took the steps down to Rio Celeste, our jaws dropped. The water was rumbling fast, so we didn't get into the water, rather we just admired it. The location & property alone were worth our travels. considering there's many beds, we talked about returning here in the future with friends. We didn't stay more than a night, but hope to do so one day to really relax and enjoy the time there. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and tools, & it was nice since we cooked there. The host kindly provided marshmallows for a fire on the patio, we happened to already have chocolate and also graham crackers from our flight! the beds were comfy, the hummingbirds were fluttering on the patio, & we will remember! ♡

I can not say enough about Rick as a host and Casa Familia. The location is a great base camp for a lot of activities around the Tenorio area. The house and property are stunning and the wildlife is extraordinary. I have never had so many little extra’s that really made the stay feel like you are right at home. I can not recommend this place enough and will definitely be back to stay again!

Amazing stay! Jim was so helpful and welcoming throughout our time at the Airbnb. The property is breathtaking and is in an ideal location, lots to see within an hour drive including, la Fortuna waterfall and the volcano hike. Make sure to spend a day enjoying the property and the peaceful bnb!

Jim’s villa is a great spot for a retreat and a good home base for the area. The villa is very private and spacious with two decks to enjoy the sunsets and toucans if you’re lucky (like we were!). Mary was very responsive to our questions and wonderful to deal with. Would highly recommend.

I can’t say enough about Jennie and her beautiful home. Our family of five all had enough space to spread out. She provided a lot of recommendations and was very responsive which is nice when you are visiting another country. Her recommendations were spot on and we had a blast visiting this beautiful part of the world.

We had a wonderful stay at Johanna's place. She was a great host and made us feel right at home. She was very helpful and caring. We enjoyed her daily visits when she answered any questions we had and helped us identify birds we saw. The house and grounds were lovely and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the sounds of nature.

The house is beautiful, unfortunately it didn't touch bad weather but everything was perfect as the ad says. We had some inconveniences and they were very nice to solve them.

We are a family of four - our two kids loved the outdoor space and the well-stocked kitchen made it easy for us to make meals. We enjoyed the hot tub and laundry (pro tip: turn the hot tub on early so it heats up!). Location was great for us to break up our drive. Very peaceful and quiet. Nice lake view. Solid spot. Thank you!
