The Salty Pelican Beach House is located on the Fort Morgan Peninsula, about 15 miles from the intersection of Fort Morgan Rd (Hwy 180 West) and Hwy 59 in Gulf Shores. You can be there in 15 to 20 minutes! Your family & friends can enjoy the privacy of our home & still reap in the benefits of being so close to the activity in the heart of Gulf Shores.
The space
When you walk in the door of our home you will see all of the special touches that we have added to make your family and friends feel like they are home. Plus they get the added bonus of the full views of the white sandy beaches, blue-green water of the Gulf of Mexico, sunrises, sunsets, and dolphins. Our home is located directly on the beach; there is no home or building blocking our views. Views can be seen from the third floor master bedroom and master bath, from two of the larger bedrooms, from three of our balconies, the main gathering room and kitchen or from the dipping pool.
The Fort Morgan Peninsula offers visitors a peaceful, relaxing escape. Fort Morgan is surrounded by water, with the Mobile Bay on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other – the most beautiful natural beaches in the area. Once you have visited, you will want to come back again and again!!
Our house has lots of natural light throughout. The first floor has an open floor plan that offers a great place to gather for lots of fun and activities! With beautiful ocean and beach views through the wall of windows also overlooking the pool. The fully furnished kitchen is open with an island that allows for guest to have a place to sit and talk while cooking. There is a large kitchen table with a seated bench along the wall and plenty of chairs. There are lots of great restaurants to choose from in the area, however, if you enjoy preparing your own meals or grilling out on our grill you will not find that our kitchen is lacking in supplies. If you do see something that we are missing please let us know so we can add it to our collection!
In the main living room area, there is a large sectional sofa, chairs and a bench that offers plenty of seating as well. The living room also has a 72" Android Smart TV with RokuTV. You may also sign in to your Internet movie accounts such as Netflix, Hulu, YoutubeTV or Amazon. Free Wi-Fi is available. Located in the living room area you will also find a wet bar with a beverage refrigerator and an under counter icemaker. For your convenience there is also a half bath located on this floor.
Step out on to our large deck where there is plenty of seating in and around the pool. You will have a great view of the beach and the ocean. You can also walk down our steps leading you to the beach. Take a walk down the sugar white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. Our un-crowded and unspoiled beach is natural. It is not groomed, and you can happily hunt for driftwood, shells, sea glass and other treasures. Or maybe some evening crabbing! You may see dolphins swimming in the surf, brown pelicans flying in formation or blue herons and seagulls right on the beach in front of the house. Relax, unwind, listen to the surf, soak up the sun, play in the waves, enjoy shore fishing, watch the sunrise and set, and star gaze at night. You will not be bored. You may even get to enjoy a flight demonstration from the Blue Angels from time to time as they practice in front of our house. When you return to the house there is a shower on the steps for your convenience to rinse off.
From the main floor follow the stairs to the second floor where you will find four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and the laundry area. There are two bedrooms when you reach the top of the stairs one of the rooms has a queen bed and the other has full over full bunk bed with a twin trundle bed. Both of these rooms share the first bathroom in the hallway on the left. The two bedrooms toward the front of the house both have two queen size beds in each room. Both of these rooms also have there own private bathrooms. They both have a great view of the beach and ocean. Outside of the doorways of these two bedrooms there is a balcony that you can also sit and enjoy the views of the beach and ocean. All of the bedrooms have 55" Smart TV’s with RokuTV. The laundry area holds a full size washer and dryer.
Now follow the stairs to the third floor, which is the Primary Suite. The entire floor is the primary bedroom and bath. The bedroom has a king size bed and a TV with RokuTV. The primary bathroom has a large walk-in shower. The primary bedroom has beautiful views of the beach and gulf!

Other things to note
Our home is equipped with 2 full size smart water heaters, and three hvac units that we had Reme Halo UV Lights Air Purification Systems installed in the ducts and dehumidifiers to help keep the humidity levels low and make our home the most comfortable that it can be for our guests!
