Escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and stay in a truly unique location right by the sea. Here you will find tranquility, swimming opportunities, a wonderful sky, and charming bedrooms, tastefully renovated in keeping with the property's character and with a sustainable approach. Kitchen and greenhouse have direct access to the garden. There is also a trout stream that meanders through the garden area, which features various species of flowers. The place is child-friendly, with playground equipment in the garden. Parking in own lot.
The space
Jøllestø Skysstasjon's old barn is idyllically located in one of Norway's oldest civilization landscapes. Surrounded by cliffs, boulders, and pastures, you can find traces of human activity from time immemorial: tools, symbolic objects, and mythical artifacts.
Jøllestø is a weathered place and through the fall and winter there are at times very strong winds and an upset sea. This is a very beautiful place in a storm, and I would highly recommend it for people who are interested in a lot of weather. In the spring and summer the place sizzles with life, and the harbor is a gathering place for fishermen and coffee guests.
Welcome to us!
Guest access
Parts of the building are locked and used as a workshop and viewing room for Stiv Kuling architects. Apart from this, the entire place can be used by guests.
Other things to note
There is a small bathroom with a sink and toilet in the building. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer. A sauna with an outdoor shower is being planned, but it is not ready yet. Updated information will be available when this is ready.
Guests must bring their own bed linen and clean before departure so that it is ready for the next guest.
We are constantly working to ensure that the experience for our visitors and ourselves is the best possible, and the place is continuously upgraded. We ask for your understanding regarding this and that from time to time there are building materials stored on part of the property.
